Job Title: Azure DevOps Engineer Location: 100% Remote Shift Timings: Initially Night Shifts for 3-6 months; post that 4 pm - 1 am IST Experience: Overall 8-12 year\'s exp with minimum 5 years into Azure DevOps along with Azure Infrastructure Roles and Responsibilities: Working in tandem with our software engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company. The company currently partners with Microsoft and has based their current infrastructure and development efforts on the Azure clouds. Planning, designing and developing cloud-based environments for development, testing and production use. Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines. Assisting in annual security audits and audit requirements to ensure that the company brand remains untarnished. Deploying and debugging cloud application environments as needed in accordance with best practices in release and change management. Document work in the clients\' chosen software delivery ticketing system (such as JIRA) for project management and quality reporting purposes. Employing exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they snowball into problems. Experience with testing and monitoring of API endpoints (on both sides of the integration where appropriate). Client developers will be responsible to help establish proper unit testing for use in monitoring and eventual CD efforts. The why: Familiar with concepts and philosophy related to Infrastructure as Code. The how: Familiar with the tools needed to deploy environments using automation tools for the purposes of backup, resiliency and performance in the Azure infrastructure cloud. Tools like Terraform are preferred when they can provide a degree of platform agnostically, but where needed Azure proprietary tools will be used where expediency is an immediate premium. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering; Master\'s degree a plus. Certification as an AWS Solutions Architect, Cloud Security Certification, and/or OpenStack Administrator Certification a plus. (Other cloud-related certification also a plus.) Five years\' experience in delivering software with teams working with the Agile framework. Experience with service-oriented applications and cloud-based services, preferably Azure. Experience working with Kubernetes, containers, and Microsoft Azure. Three to five years\' experience in a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer role or related position. Knowledge of web services, API, REST and associated calling pattern detection and troubleshooting.. Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and distributed networks. Cloud Database deployment and monitoring experience - in conjunction with DBA and Data Team developers. Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace. Skilled at working in tandem with a team of engineers, or alone as required.
