Job Description

We are seeking a skilled AWS Web Hosting Specialist to manage, deploy, and maintain our web hosting infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS services and a strong understanding of web hosting technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Web Hosting Management : Deploy, configure, and maintain web hosting environments using AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lightsail, and Elastic Beanstalk.
• Infrastructure Automation : Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Monitoring & Optimization : Monitor performance, ensure high availability, and optimize the hosting environment for cost and efficiency.
• Security Management : Implement and manage security best practices, including network security, identity and access management (IAM), and data protection.
• Troubleshooting & Support : Provide technical support and troubleshooting for web hosting issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Continuous Improvement : Stay updated with AWS offerings and continuously improve the web hosting setup to leverage new features and best practices.
• Collaboration : Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of web applications.

Required Qualifications

• Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience in AWS cloud services and web hosting.
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, Route 53, and Lambda. Experience with Linux/Unix administration.
• Scripting & Automation : Strong skills in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with automation tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Networking : Understanding of VPC, subnets, routing, security groups, and load balancers.
• Security : Knowledge of AWS security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
• Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Certifications : AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar certifications preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Web Technologies : Familiarity with web servers (e.g., Apache, Nginx), databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL), and content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal).
• DevOps Practices : Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Soft Skills : Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to learning and implementing new technologies.
