Job Overview:
The AWS Architect with Data Engineering Skills will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, robust, and secure cloud infrastructure and data solutions on AWS. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS services, data engineering best practices, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture Design:
- Design and architect scalable, reliable, and secure AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain architecture diagrams, documentation, and standards.
Data Engineering:
- Design and implement ETL pipelines using AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions.
- Build and manage data lakes and data warehouses using AWS services like S3, Redshift, and Athena.
- Ensure data quality, data governance, and data security across all data platforms.
AWS Services Management:
- Utilize a wide range of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, DynamoDB, etc.) to support various workloads and applications.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS Code Pipeline, Code Build, and Code Deploy.
- Monitor and optimize the performance, cost, and security of AWS resources.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, data scientists, and business stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on best practices in AWS and data engineering.
Security and Compliance:
- Ensure that all cloud solutions follow security best practices and comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Implement and manage IAM policies, roles, and access controls.
Innovation and Improvement:
- Stay up to date with the latest AWS services, features, and best practices.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing systems, processes, and architectures.
