MGS India has plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFGs global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia PacificAbout the Role:Position Title: Data Engineer &Scrum MasterCorporate Title: AVPReporting to: Director, Head of Data Capabilities Portfolio ManagementLocation: BengaluruJob Profile:The Enterprise Data Capabilities Portfolio Management team in Technology is focused on a transformative journey that will support our data strategy on how we develop and deliver critical business outcomes, in addition to how we engage with partners across MUFG for Data, AI, and BI services.Our team is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join as an Assistant Vice President, Data Engineer & Scrum Master. You will facilitate and coordinate Agile Scrum ceremonies for our Data Platforms Engineering Teams work. Additionally, you will serve as a team coach and mentor them helping to foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring that the team is meeting its objectives consistently. The ideal candidate must have data engineering background, data platforms administration experience. He/she is expected to be a detailed planner, expert communicator, and have a passion for data and emerging technologies with a take charge attitude and a strong drive for success.Responsibilities for Data Platforms Scrum Master:

• Facilitate the Scrum process: Ensures that the Scrum process is rigorously followed by the team. This includes conducting Scrum ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective. Champion and drive the Lean Agile mindset, helping the team embrace core values, principles, and agile processes/practices. Responsible for ensuring that the Scrum Team adheres to Scrum values, practices, tools and rules.
• Remove impediments: The Scrum Master is responsible for identifying and removing any impediments that may be preventing the team from delivering value. This could include anything from technical issues to team dynamics.
• Coach the team: The Scrum Master is responsible for coaching the team on Scrum principles and practices. This includes helping the team to self-organize, and to continuously improve their processes. Be a voice and advocate for the team so the team can focus on delivering value.
• Facilitate communication: The Scrum Master is responsible for ensuring that there is clear communication between the team, the Product Owner, and any other stakeholders. Be a voice of reason and authority, while enabling the delivery team to self-organize and innovate
• Ensure transparency: Bring visibility to the work, impediments, risks, and other areas of importance and ensure that the team's progress is transparent to all stakeholders. This includes maintaining a visible product backlog and burn-down chart.
• Product Planning & Delivery: Assist the Product Owner withdevelopment of product roadmaps, planning,resource planning,change management, risk management, and product backlog maintenance.Partner with Data Capabilities Leads and Business Owners to identify viable use cases and potential ROI for documenting Business Cases.
• Monitoring: Monitor Scrum Team execution against iteration plan.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of IT experience in programming and DBMS
• Possess Coding skills of 4+ years in Python, API design, Scala and database administration
• Exposure and working knowledge of SQL data stores Cloud native databases (RDS) or cloud agnostic data warehouses
• Exposure to Spark programming
• 7+ years experience in applying Agile and Scrum principles within teams and/or organizations and using agile metrics to analyze and improve sprint planning.
• 7+ years planning and problem solving with product management and delivery teams
• 7+ years experience working within agile framework or method (i.e. SAFe, Scrum, Kanban)
• 5+ years creating and delivering presentations, PowerPoint decks, and project plans.
• 4+ years working with tools such as Atlassian (JIRA/Confluence), Clarity and/or Cloud-based platforms (Amazon Web Services)
• 7+ years of proven experience as a Scrum Master, in data engineering or data analytics relateddomains.
• 5+ years technology industry experience most recently in Banking & Financial Services sector
• 5+ yearsof experience in data management, data analytics
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management frameworks (PMI).
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. JIRA, MSProject).
• Familiarity with data analytics tools / technologies (e.g., SQL, Tableau, PowerBI).
• Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques including User Stories, Continuous Integration, Pairing, Automated Testing
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonalskills.
• Good data analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work underpressure.
• Experience managing stakeholder expectations at all levels of the organization

PreferredQualifications:

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
• Experience with AWS cloud and modern data platforms Snowflake
• Knowledge of data governance and compliancestandards.
• Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or PMIs Agile Certified Professional (ACP)
• SAFe certified SAFe Agilist or SAFe Scrum Master
• Servant leadership experience as Scrum Master on an Agile Release Train
• Understanding of and experience implementing EmergingTechnologies

Education:Bachelors degree in science or business or management or finance related fields.MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
