We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, \'anchor\', days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Introduction: As Structured Lending and financing Risk Manager you will be covering Market Risk aspect of the desk which is part of FI Credit. You will provide additional and independent information to various stakeholders to enhance decision making, whilst providing a control environment which satisfies the objectives set by the regulators. As a Market Risk Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring risks are fully captured and within Barclays Market and Credit risk systems for the desk spanning across the globe along with VaR sign offs, Stress, RNiV and IRC computation, working with Feed/Model/System migration related challenges. The role is within the Market Risk Management team located in Mumbai. What will you be doing . Ensuring full risk capture and completeness, both on a procedural (book and mapping) basis, as well as a risk factor (e.g. crosses, higher orders) basis . Proactive tracking and fixing of data/risking issues which feed into the risk including risk system transition . Ensuring accurate and timely daily signoff of risk, stress, and VaR/SVaR figures, for accurate market risk capture and risk reporting. . Daily monitoring of exposures, and utilization against limits, excess signoffs. . Perform stress tests and scenario analyses to evaluate the resilience of structured credit portfolios under adverse market conditions. . Identify vulnerabilities and recommend risk mitigation strategies based on stress testing results . Monitor the credit risk profile of structured credit instruments and assess their performance in relation to market risk exposure. . Identify trends and potential issues within the structured lending and financing portfolio . Assess liquidity risk associated with structured credit assets by considering factors such as trading volumes, bid-ask spreads, and gap risk based on historical time series on the funded assets. . Stay informed about market risk regulations and ensure that structured lending and financing activities comply with regulatory requirements and assist in preparation of regulatory reports/documentations. . Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of market risk methodologies, tools, and processes relevant to structured lending and financing risk management . Maintaining, improving, and creating risk reports for both informational and supervisory purpose . Communicating changes in risk profile to senior management formally via exposure and limit reports/Market Risk Review meetings and informally whenever significant risk positions arise. . Handle Top-Risks and market commentaries for the desk on rotation on Global Risk call . Hierarchy and book management within Credit . Handling enquiries and ad hoc requests from regulators or senior management . Assist in Audit and Conformance Testing from time to time. What we\'re looking for: . Sound knowledge of derivative markets, products and pricing and process flows for data management . Familiarity with market risk metrics, stress testing, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel III) related to structured credit . Several years of relevant experience in market risk management, exposure to structured lending and financing segment of an investment firm will be added advantage. . Motivated self-starter, able to operate from day one with minimal supervision essential . Ability to handle multiple priorities and operate autonomously whilst still being able to escalate appropriately . Bachelor\'/ Masters Degree with educational background in a quantitative discipline, eg Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Risk, Finance, Business (or CFA/FRM) . Analytical and IT skills are required (Advance Excel/VBA/Python) to build tools that will help in carrying out the responsibilities in this role. Skills that will help you in the role: . Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment . Excellent interpersonal skills, with confidence to follow up with multiple upstream and downstream teams . Technology proficiency in any of these languages: Python, SQL, VBA, C, C++, Java . Strong organizational and detailed documentation skills . Self-motivated, takes ownership of responsibilities assigned to him/her . Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally . Ability to work and collaborate in a team .
