  • Ensure consistent and correct exposure assessment and application of relevant SCOs while onboarding suppliers. Co-ordinate effective understanding, interpretation and application of supplier onboarding questionnaire and ensure effective compliance and enforcement of the relevant Supplier Control Obligations
  • Manage and support supplier management activities of various CRES and LS suppliers in line with ESMS
  • Complete supplier exits including proper documentation and checklist activities where applicable
  • Ensure governance and oversight of supplier utilization- for example:
  • Ensure that only approved suppliers are utilized
  • Ensure that contracts are renewed before they expire
  • Track and manage contract changes for managed suppliers
  • Ongoing improvement of delivery processes for SRE during supplier on-boarding and BAU SRM activities post contract execution
  • Work with the entire Procurement organization including Sourcing, Supplier Management and their support functions, to effectively manage supplier relationships
  • Provide assurance that supplier risk evaluation and post contract supplier management activities are conducted in a robust and compliant manner\xc3\x82
Purpose of the roleTo assess the integrity and effectiveness of the banks internal control framework to support the mitigation of risk and protection of the banks operational, financial, and reputational risk.\xc3\x82 \xc3\x82Accountabilities
  • Collaboration with various stakeholders across the bank and business units to improve overall control effectiveness through detailed documentation of control assessments, procedures, and findings.
  • Identification and investigation of potential weaknesses and issues within internal controls to promote continuous improvement and risk mitigation aligned to the bank\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99s control framework, prioritised by its severity to disrupt bank operations.
  • Development of reports to communicate key findings from risk assessment including control weaknesses and recommendations to control owners, senior management, and other stakeholders.
  • Execution of reviews to determine the effectiveness of the bank\'s internal controls framework aligned to established and evolving policies, regulation, and best practice.
  • Implementation of adherence to the Barclays Controls Framework and set appropriate methodology of assessing controls against the Controls Framework.

  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
