The Role Responsibilities
Business

  • Provide support to continuously evaluate and identify process and operational risk implications of business strategies, projects and programmes and provide guidance on any risk remediation actions.
  • Provide support to Credit CoE initiatives, ensuring global adoption of initiatives as impacting the GBO and country managed CRC non-documentation (monitoring and reporting) processes.
Processes
  • Provide support to GPO in Group to ensure adherence to specified BAU operational risk deadlines, along with designing and maintaining framework for Control Assessment Standards for front office processes across the globe.
  • Assist with review and oversight of CRC Non-Documentation process related assurance checks (CSTs / KCIs) to ensure standardisation and consistency and appropriate challenge and risk assessments.
  • Assist with resolution for all front office and CRC (including GBO) queries that arise in the Credit Fulfilment process relating to Non-Documentation processes across Client Coverage under CC CoE including Monitoring Governance (EAR, ASTAR); Reporting (EPDM, CMS Reports) and Custody processes, or as required by the relevant GPOS Lead in Group.
  • Assist GPOS Lead in Group with coordinating with stakeholders (CAs, CM, CPOs) across the region and countries, and to increase transparency and share key developments, learnings and best practices.
Risk Management
  • Assist with identifying risks and instituting control framework and supporting the business across the globe in minimizing risks and losses in relation to the CRC processes.
  • Responsible for understanding and identifying non-standard processes and assist to ensure appropriate control mechanisms are agreed and implemented in consultation with GPO in Group.
  • Assist with review of all proposed process and system changes to ensure any material impact is identified.
  • Primary responsible for regular review and maintenance of the CRC DOIs and process documents for Non Documentation matters.
Regulatory and Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\xe2\x80\x99s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
ORF Policy And Standards
  • Understanding of the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s Operational Risk Policies and Standards.
  • Residual Risk Frameworks and estimations.
  • Ability to challenge countries and CST teams on results / output.
  • Support in writing RCR, RRA.
ORF Results Review for Applicable Processes
  • Oversight and review of queries on CST exceptions.
  • Ensure tracking of results.
  • Exception counts, exception details.
  • Exception %, Potential Aggregated Impact.
  • Chase countries for Non-Response.
NFRC Results Consolidation for Applicable Processes Support GPO In
  • Exception Tracking / Deep Dives / Root Cause Analysis
  • Conduct Flags Tracking and Consolidation of Details
  • PowerPoint Slides Consolidation for Group or\xe2\x80\x99s RIR And NFRC
Communication with CRC Execution and GBS CST Teams
  • Maintain regular communication on general matters, updates on revision to risk registers / control checks / mode of submission, etc.
  • Handling of adhoc queries from country IMO\'s, RFO\'s.
  • Maintenance of email distribution list, CPO, RFO\'s.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Knowledge of client coverage products - To enable assessment of cross-business issues.
  • Experience In Supporting A first line business, operation, credit risk or Operational Risk would be preferred.
  • Ability to apply sound judgement with critical thinking skills and courage necessary to perform a first line control role and maintain effective eorking Relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills, Detail-Focused with the ability to interpret large volume of information.
  • Ability to independently drive initiatives with minimum hands-On supervision.
  • Detailed working knowledge of banks internal TP Systems, Processes and Policies in particular knowledge Of CRC / credit processes relating To Fulfilment, Monitoring and Reporting And Custody.
Role Specific Technical Competencies
  • Detailed knowledge of banks internal TP Systems, processes and policies
  • Ability to update and maintain DOI at regular intervals and based on process changes
  • Operational Risk Framework and ability to identify process level risks and evaluate internal control effectiveness
  • Working level knowledge of Credit Risk and Control processes
