Credit Life Cycle Team works across all Credit Analytics Teams. This team spreads across 5 pillars - Data Analytics & Reporting, Credit Bureau Reporting, Credit & Supplier Surveillance, Collection & Recovery Strategy BI along with Credit Policy & Procedure governance team. All these teams work cross functionally supporting Credit & our larger business. Reporting to the VP - Credit Assessment Lead, the roles primary responsibilities will be managing and partnering with the Enterprise Process Governance team to drive standardization of Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program strategies across Credit, including confirming their compliance with the enhanced RCSA Policy and Standard. This role will collaborate with assigned process owners, control owners, and participating process owners to drive the completeness and accuracy of our risk assessment ecosystem, ensuring risks and controls are well-documented and well-understood.Essential Responsibilities:Partner with L3/L2 process owners, control owners, and participating owners as applicable to thoroughly and accurately document risks and controls in the risk inventory and all risk assessmentsPartner with the assigned owners to perform trigger-based RAQ and PRCSA refreshes as requiredAssist VP - Credit Assessment Lead with enhancing analytics and reporting to identify, coordinate, and track RCSA program adherence, including providing 1LoD effective challenge to 1LoD stakeholders and process owners.Serve as SME for integrating RCSA program results into other critical governance documentation such as process mapsIdentify and socialize emerging risks, control gaps, and/or documentation enhancement opportunities, including escalation of critical risk and control gaps.Provide RCSA program support to VP - Credit Policy and Assessment in response to Regulatory, Risk, and Audit-related RCSA program requests and deliverablesAssemble and assist process owners with process map maintenance activities as requiredPartner with Compliance, Surveillance, Credit Governance, and L3/L2 process owners to ensure appropriate regulatory laws, CTCs, and CTQs are proper accounted for in RAQs and PRCSAsCoordinate with Credit process owners to proactively identify areas in need of supporting governance documentation;Support and input RAQ and PRCSA details into eGRC system.Perform other duties and/or special projects as assignedQualifications/Requirements:Bachelors degree with 6+ years of experience in financial industry or In lieu of a degree, with 8+ years of experience in financial industry.Minimum 3+ years of work experience in an credit, fraud, risk testing, or internal audit in the financial services industry;Minimum 5+ years experience and expertise working in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio);Minimum 1+ years experience with tools such as eGRC, Tableau, Nintex, SharePoint, Visio;Minimum 1+ years developing and managing risk assessments in the financial services industry;Ability to work cross functionally;Must be able to work under tight deadlines with multiple priorities;Ability to work a flexible schedule.Desired Characteristics:Masters degree;Detailed-oriented, highly organized, follow up skills and results-driven with strong problem-solving skills;Familiarity with Federal Reserve and OCC regulatory reporting requirements;Ability to prioritize and manage project progress to meet project timelines;Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear communications in various forms and confidently present meaningful analysis to senior management and executive level management;Ability to influence others to achieve team goals;Strong compliance, audit or control function background, with specific understanding of internal controls;Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects, organize workflow, and prioritize work assignmentsImagination and creativity in applying / adapting best practices and learnings to new problems/needs;Self-motivated and directed;Excellent work ethic and able to work well with broad and diverse global teams;Ability to gather, analyze and summarize data in clear and concise manner and report findings to senior management.Work Timings: 2pm to 11pm ISTThis role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time - 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
