Organizational Overview:

Credit Strategy implementation team actions across the lifecycle of a customer. Spread across 4 pillars, the team caters for implementation and infrastructure requirements for Acquisition, Account Management, Transaction Fraud and Collections strategy partners to bringing it all to life through appropriate decision tools and technologies. The exposure to all functions involved is driven by strong cross functional collaboration, automation, efficiency, access to numerous alternative data sources, new age technologies, focused strategies. You will have access to some unique product propositions, functional and leadership trainings, senior leadership teams.

Role Summary/Purpose:

The AVP, Acquisitions Tools and Infrastructure, needs to demonstrate project management coupled with strong technical acumen, and analytics bent of mind to be able to focus on Credit products and proven track record of representing the business, partnering with a cross-functional project teams, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The role demands \xe2\x80\x9cSubject Matter Expert\xe2\x80\x9d and the go-to person for questions/issues on all Acquisitions projects that involve customer notification of Adverse Actions or Risk Based Pricing information via digital, letter, or card carrier methods.

Key Responsibilities:

Subject matter expert for projects involving Adverse Action and/or Risk Based Pricing notification, various other compliance and governance activities.

Involved in testing and implementation of models that require adverse action

Scoping issue impacts and remediations of Adverse Action and RBP Notification issues. Work closely with Implementation, Surveillance & Compliance on RBP & notification of Letters/Card Carrier/Digital, Genasys IT counteroffer, monitoring, postproduction validation. Work with IT on letter and/or risk-based pricing defects and remediations

Work with Credit & Fraud strategy development team to implement new models.

Support New Product Integration, New Client Integration, Big Ticket Enhancements

Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned such as code development (in DMP, Open L, SAS, Python), Validation

Lead multiple projects simultaneously for successful implementation of all tasks undertaken.

Maintain SOPs/platform documentation \xe2\x80\x93 keep the versions & content current

Establish priorities and coordinate work. Proactively manage efforts to maintain stakeholder satisfaction, and quantify project benefits delivered. Collaborate with multiple US managers and stakeholders for accurate work delivery.

Assurance of six sigma rigor in strategy development, implementation, and monitoring.

Present new tools, ideas and solutions to Senior Management and broader team. Able to quickly explore new tools and techniques like Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, cloud computing, automation etc.

Look at process and identify gaps for efficiency/automation.

Develop and support best-in-class analytic solutions.

Provide thought leadership in various initiatives/projects and share best practices.

Focus on Process Efficiency/Process Control and Automation.

Support operational credit team in response to internal and external audit requests.

Coordinate with multiple teams viz Technology, Operations for project/learning needs.

Able to lead team members to achieve the goals.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

Bachelor\'s\' degree in science, analytics or related field and 6+ years of relevant experience in consumer/commercial fraud, credit or risk management, lending, or appropriate field in a credit card / consumer lending environment, or in lieu of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree, 8+ years of relevant work experience of relevant experience in consumer/commercial fraud, credit or risk management, lending, or appropriate field in a credit card / consumer lending environment

Minimum 3+ years Project Management Waterfall and/or Agile hands-on experience. Demonstrated project management experience with attention to detail, report accuracy, data integrity, and team focus

Strong Technical abilities and hands-on experience in any of the strategy implementation platforms \xe2\x80\x93 Power Curve, DMP, Open L,

Strong SAS, SQL, Python & Unix, Mainframe, VBA, Excel.

Strong business understanding of the credit business and the associated tools to implement the same.

Strong understanding of Data Querying and analysis.

Understanding of governance & compliance framework.

Prior experience in leading major migration or enterprise wise projects will be preferred.

Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with a wide range of end users, demonstrated various leadership skills, precise communication and ability to interpret requirements.

Ability to work in a dynamic environment to meet deadlines, and balance multiple priorities.

Desired Skills/Knowledge:

7+ years of experience in leading strategy changes in credit. Proven track record of leading banking projects.

Experience with consumer and commercial lending products and practices.

Ability to engage and work effectively with clients / partners to gain alignment and achieve key deliverables

Cross-functional experience with a track record of leading in a matrix environment and influencing key decision makers

Technically savvy with experience working on technology-related projects.

Strategic thinker; innovative problem solver; self-starter; team player.

Eligibility Criteria:

Bachelor\'s\' degree in science, analytics or related field and 6+ years of relevant experience in consumer/commercial fraud, credit or risk management, lending, or appropriate field in a credit card / consumer lending environment, or in lieu of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree, 8+ years of relevant work experience of relevant experience in consumer/commercial fraud, credit or risk management, lending, or appropriate field in a credit card / consumer lending environment

Work Timings:

This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time \xe2\x80\x93 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
