Role: Automation Lead (Accel Portfolio Company)Work Location: Chandigarh (No remote / no hybrid)About the RoleAs the Automation Test Lead at Sprouts.ai, you will be responsible for leading our automation testing efforts and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. With a minimum of 6 years of experience in automation testing, you will lead a team of automation engineers, designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites to support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the automation testing team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation.

• Develop and implement automation testing strategies, frameworks, and best practices to ensure the reliability and scalability of our software products.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Development, Quality Assurance, and DevOps, to define automation requirements and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using playwright/Selenium.

• Identify opportunities for test automation and drive the adoption of automation across all phases of the software development lifecycle.

• Establish and enforce automation testing standards and guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality in automation deliverables.

• Analyse test results and defects to identify root causes and provide recommendations for resolution.

• Monitor test automation execution and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or bottlenecks.

• Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in automation testing, incorporating them into our testing processes and methodologies.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define key metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of automation testing efforts.

• Act as a subject matter expert on automation testing, providing guidance, support, and training to team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in automation testing, with expertise in designing and implementing automation frameworks and test scripts.

• Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Selenium or Playwright.

• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build and deployment processes.

• Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders at all levels.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Proven track record of successfully leading automation testing initiatives and delivering high-quality software products.
