Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Plant 3D Operator to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models and designs for chemical plant projects. This role requires proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D and a strong understanding of plant design processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and modify 3D models using AutoCAD Plant 3D software.
• Prepare detailed drawings and layouts for various plant systems including piping, instrumentation, and structural components.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure designs meet project specifications and standards.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and other documents.
• Ensure that all designs comply with relevant codes and standards.
• Maintain project documentation and update models as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in project meetings and provide input on design solutions.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of design standards and templates.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an AutoCAD Plant 3D Operator or similar role.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D software.
• Smart P&ID part of Autocad 3D, is a must.
• Strong understanding of plant design, including piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience in chemical industry is a big plus.
• A degree or diploma in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of industry standards and codes.
• Experience with other CAD software and design tools.
• Familiarity with project management software.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
• May require occasional site visits and the ability to navigate industrial environments.
