We are seeking an experienced AutoPlant 3D Piping Designer with 6-8 years of experience to join our engineering design team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in 3D modeling, piping design, and project coordination within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial sectors. The role involves collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with design standards, and delivering high-quality design solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
• Develop detailed 3D piping models using Bentley AutoPlant 3D software.
• Create and review piping layouts , isometrics , and general arrangement (GA) drawings based on project requirements.
• Perform piping design in compliance with project specifications, piping codes, and client standards.
• Conduct piping design clash detection and resolve conflicts in a multi-discipline environment.
• Coordinate with process engineers , mechanical engineers , and other team members to ensure design accuracy.
• Generate bill of materials (BOM) and support procurement activities by providing accurate material take-offs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards , piping codes (ASME, ANSI), and client-specific requirements.
• Work closely with project managers and discipline leads to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
• Assist in the development of piping specifications and standards for ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Participate in design reviews , HAZOPs, and project-related technical discussions.
• Maintain project documentation and keep track of design modifications and updates.
• Provide support during the construction phase by resolving design issues and participating in field/site visits if required.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
• 6-8 years of experience in piping design using AutoPlant 3D within industries such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, refineries, or heavy industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of piping materials , specifications , and standards (ASME B31.3, B31.1, etc.).
• Proficiency in Bentley AutoPlant 3D , P&ID , and other related design software.
• Experience with clash detection tools such as Navisworks .
• Familiarity with isometric drawings , GA drawings, and piping layouts.
• Strong understanding of piping stress analysis concepts.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred :
• Exposure to EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) projects .
• Familiarity with 3D laser scanning and integrating point clouds into piping design.
• Field/site experience in piping design and installation.
Education :
• A Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Design, or a related field.
