Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Piping 2D/3D Draftsman proficient in AutoCAD to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D piping drawings for various industrial and commercial projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance with standards, and alignment with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create 2D Piping Drawings: Develop detailed 2D piping layout drawings, including plans, sections, and isometric views, using AutoCAD based on engineering designs and specifications.
• Develop 3D Models: Generate accurate 3D models of piping systems, incorporating all necessary components such as pipes, fittings, valves, and supports.
• Coordinate with Engineering Teams: Collaborate with mechanical and process engineers to ensure designs meet project requirements and industry standards.
• Update and Revise Drawings: Modify existing 2D and 3D drawings based on feedback from engineers, project managers, or client requirements.
• Material Specifications: Identify and specify materials required for piping systems, ensuring they comply with project specifications and industry standards.
• Quality Assurance: Review all drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to industry standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI).
• Documentation: Maintain organized records of all drawings, revision histories, and associated documentation.
• Support Fabrication and Installation: Provide technical support during the fabrication and installation phases by supplying detailed drawings and addressing any queries related to the designs.
• Field Verification: Conduct site visits when necessary to verify measurements and ensure alignment with design intent.

Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Piping Draftsman, with expertise in both 2D and 3D AutoCAD.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD with strong skills in both 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
• In-depth knowledge of piping design principles, including layout, isometrics, and material specifications.
• Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI, ASTM).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and modeling.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineering and project teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with additional 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, or similar.
• Experience in specific industries such as oil & gas, petrochemical.

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
