Job Description

1. Creating Technical Drawings

• Drafting plans : Creating detailed drawings for engineering, architectural, or construction projects.
• Design layouts : Developing floor plans, elevation views, sections, and other design layouts.
• 3D modeling : Developing 3D models and simulations, depending on the project requirements.

2. Revising and Modifying Drawings

• Amending plans : Updating designs based on feedback from engineers, architects, or project managers.
• Ensuring accuracy : Verifying measurements, dimensions, and alignment to ensure technical accuracy.
• Managing drawing revisions : Maintaining revision history and ensuring that updated drawings are correctly labeled.

3. Collaboration and Communication

• Working with other professionals : Coordinating with architects, engineers, and designers to ensure design integrity.
• Interpreting sketches : Converting hand-drawn sketches, rough drafts, and specifications into digital AutoCAD files.
• Project meetings : Attending team meetings to discuss the design process, changes, or potential issues.

4. Quality Control

• Ensuring standards compliance : Ensuring all drawings comply with industry standards, building codes, and client specifications.
• Reviewing technical data : Cross-referencing technical data and specifications to ensure the drawings align with the project requirements.

5. Document Management

• Organizing files : Creating and maintaining organized drawing files and documentation for easy retrieval and review.
• Version control : Keeping track of different versions of drawings to ensure proper updates and to avoid errors during construction.

6. Software Utilization

• AutoCAD expertise : Proficiently using AutoCAD software to produce accurate and detailed drawings.
• Other software tools : Depending on the role, may also use additional design tools like Revit, Civil 3D, or BIM software.

7. Time Management and Deadlines

• Meeting deadlines : Completing drawings and revisions within specified timeframes to keep projects on schedule.
• Prioritizing tasks : Effectively managing time between multiple tasks, ensuring critical drawings are completed first.

8. Field Visits (if required)

• Site surveys : Sometimes conducting field surveys or site visits to gather measurements, observe conditions, and make sure drawings reflect actual site conditions.

9. Problem Solving

• Addressing design issues : Identifying and resolving any potential design or drafting problems.
• Providing suggestions : Offering drafting solutions or alternative approaches to resolve design challenges.

10. Continuous Learning

• Staying updated : Keeping up with the latest AutoCAD features, industry trends, and best practices to improve drafting skills and knowledge.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?14,000.00 - ?20,000.00 per month
