Production Management:
? System size calculations: Conducting accurate system sizing calculations (including equipment sizing, tray fill, cable sizing, and voltage drop analysis), solar resource assessments, and energy yield estimations.
? Creation of bill of Materials: Developing detailed bills of material based on system specifications.
Delivery Management:
? Design Evaluation: Conduct meticulous and thorough assessment of photovoltaic engineering designs using AutoCAD, encompassing diverse aspects such as site layouts, property blueprints, array configurations, electrical single and three-line diagrams, and equipment elevations. Ensure the accuracy, coherence, and optimization of these designs in alignment with project specifications.
? Efficiency Enhancement: Identify opportunities for improving the efficiency and performance of photovoltaic systems within the design. Collaborate with the team to suggest innovative design modifications, layout adjustments, or component selections that contribute to enhanced energy output and overall system efficacy.
? Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous documentation of design evaluations, revisions, and improvement recommendations. Generate comprehensive reports outlining design assessments, including any design modifications or enhancements proposed. Collaborate effectively with cross
functional teams, providing clear and concise communication regarding design findings and solutions to ensure seamless project execution.
Team Mentorship:
? Guidance and Training: Provide hands-on guidance and training to junior team members in the solar design domain. This includes imparting knowledge on design best practices, software proficiency, and industry standards.
? Performance Management: Effectively evaluate team performance, provide constructive feedback, and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
? Knowledge Sharing: Encourage knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration within the team to maximize collective expertise and productivity.
? Goal Alignment: Ensure that team members are aligned with project and company objectives, and their efforts contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Project Oversight:
? Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest level of design quality and accuracy in all solar projects. This involves meticulously reviewing and validating design plans, layouts, and technical documentation to guarantee compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines.
? Timeline Management: Oversee project timelines and milestones, meticulously tracking progress and ensuring that projects stay on schedule. Proactively identify potential delays and implement effective strategies to mitigate them, keeping projects running smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements-
? Strong 2D AutoCAD Skills, knowledge of layer management, XREFs manipulation, etc.
? Strong knowledge of photovoltaic system design and optimizing system components for energy production.
? Basic understanding of drafting principles.
? Strong Math skills
? Professional and efficient English verbal and written communication skills.
? High attention to details and effective organization.
? Skill in reading, interpreting, and using related documents and drawings prepared by others
Minimum Education Qualifications -
? (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil), Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil).
Experience -
? 1+ of experience in CAD and Engineering services industry.
? 0.5 - 1-year direct work experience in US Solar Design process will be an added advantage.
Competencies -
? Essential familiarity with Solar Design specific to the US region.
? A strong understanding of industry standards and regulations related to photovoltaic systems is crucial including knowledge of codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code) and compliance with local building and electrical codes.
? Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Word, and Excel.
? Competence in collaborating with external clients throughout project implementation will provide a valuable edge. ? Capability to oversee multiple projects concurrently.
