Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced AutoCAD Designer to join our dynamic team in the Steel Fabrication Unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings, layouts, and plans for structural steel fabrication projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed AutoCAD drawings for steel fabrication, including layouts, elevations, sections, and detailed connections.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to translate design concepts into workable technical drawings.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and project specifications.
• Modify and revise designs to address changes in project scope or client requirements.
• Work closely with the fabrication team to resolve design-related issues.
• Maintain a library of project drawings and related documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as an AutoCAD Designer in a Steel Fabrication Unit.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of structural steel detailing, fabrication, and erection processes.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as AISC, BS, or IS codes is nice to have.
• Ability to interpret and create detailed technical drawings from engineering designs.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with various stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with 3D modeling software such as Tekla or SolidWorks is a plus.
• Knowledge of fabrication workshop practices and quality control processes.
