Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Internal Auditor to join our team. This role will be responsible for conducting physical stock audits at retail Wine shop. The Internal Auditor will be expected to execute audits with 100% accuracy and diligence, ensuring that all inventory records are correct and that store operations align with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Physical Stock Audits: Conduct thorough and accurate physical stock audits at retail shop location, ensuring that actual stock levels match recorded inventory figures.
• Inventory Control: Verify inventory accuracy by reconciling physical counts with store records, identifying discrepancies, and investigating causes of variances.
• Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that all retail shops adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to inventory management, alcohol sales, and financial practices.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed audit reports, including findings, discrepancies, and recommendations for improvement. Present findings to management and store leadership.
• Risk Identification: Identify and assess potential risks within store inventory practices, reporting any irregularities or inefficiencies to senior management.
• Continuous Improvement: Provide recommendations for improving inventory management systems, processes, and controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaboration: Work closely with store managers, finance teams, and operations staff to resolve discrepancies, train on best practices, and ensure compliance.
• Ad-Hoc Audits: Perform surprise audits and other ad-hoc audits as required to assess the integrity of store operations and ensure consistent compliance.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably in retail, inventory management, or the retail/alcohol industry.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of inventory control processes, auditing techniques, and financial reporting standards.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail during physical audits.
• Problem-Solving: Strong investigative and analytical skills to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
• Technology Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and other audit or inventory management software tools.
• Ethics & Integrity: Strong commitment to confidentiality, ethical standards, and company policies.

Education & Certification:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or similar certification preferred.

Personal Attributes:

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to travel to all 14 retail shop locations as required.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per month
