Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Internal Auditor to join our team. The Internal Auditor will play a key role in assessing the effectiveness of our internal controls, risk management processes, and governance practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auditing, compliance, and financial analysis, along with excellent communication skills to present findings and recommendations to management.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct internal audits of financial and operational processes to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls.
Review and assess compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies to identify areas of risk.
Develop audit plans, including risk assessments and audit objectives, in collaboration with management.
Prepare and present clear and concise audit reports, outlining findings, risks, and recommendations for improvement.
Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on outstanding issues.
Collaborate with various departments to provide guidance on best practices for internal controls and risk management.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and changes in accounting standards that may impact the organization.
Assist in the development and maintenance of the internal audit framework and methodologies.
Participate in special projects and investigations as required by management.
Must be efficient in all the accounting fundamentals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA/CIA certification is a plus.
3+ years of experience in internal auditing, public accounting, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of auditing standards, risk management, and internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO).
Proficiency in financial analysis and auditing software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively present findings to stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
