The Business Assurance & Compliance team is part of Apple's 'second line of defense' - providing objective assurance to the executive management team that Apple is meeting its regulatory, compliance, social and business responsibilities. This important oversight role provides a unique opportunity to work with colleagues across a variety of business areas, such as Finance, Operations, Retail, Legal, Privacy, Services, Payments, Sales and IS&T, and with other Compliance and Risk teams across the Company. Working with the EMEIA Business Assurance & Compliance manager (offsite), the successful candidate will be an integral part of the organisations control environment. The role combines the skills of a financial auditor with the responsibilities of being an advisor to key business partners, while ensuring compliance with all policies, laws and regulations applicable to Apple both in India and globally. There is also an opportunity to support internal investigations and process reviews making it a unique opportunity to expand your experience and guaranteeing variety in the role.
Description
Conduct detailed audits of financial statements in accordance with all applicable regulations, laws and accounting standards (India GAAP) Independently evaluate the reliability, design and effectiveness of the Company's processes and controls Identify and address control gaps or areas of improvement (with particular focus on financial transactions) and collaborate with management to implement audit recommendations and monitor progress Prepare detailed and high quality audit reports to communicate findings, conclusions and recommendations to management Perform qualitative and quantitative risk assessments to drive audit plans Stay updated on relevant changes in auditing standards India accounting rules and any other relevant regulations or laws in India, and keep team members informed Coordinate with external audit team and manage audit timelines and work Champion compliance with Apples internal policies and external financial, legal, regulatory and social obligations Help identify fraud trends across multiple areas of the business, root cause the issues and work with relevant teams to address process or system gaps Support independent and in-depth investigations of business and process related concerns raised by both internal and external parties Partner with relevant internal and external teams as and when required
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CPA/ACCA/ACA)
• Minimum of 3years of experience in a "Big 4" accounting/consulting environment and/or experience in conducting financial and Compliance audits in a multi-national company
• Experience with accounting software and data analysis tools
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Finance or other quantitative field

Preferred Qualifications
• Relevant internal controls and financial audit experience
• Solid understanding and knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles and relevant regulation (e.g. Company Act, 2013, CARO, etc)
• Excellent analytical, problem identification, and problem-solving skills
• Have a passion for constant improvement and innovation
• Ability to work both independently and as part of multi-functional teams with a solid ability to manage parallel activities and prioritise tasks
• Exhibit sound business acumen and flexibility to handle multiple wide-ranging matters, conflicting deadlines, and new areas of expertise as business needs change
• A self-starter with the ability to adapt, thrive and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic, ambiguous environment
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to connect and work multi-functionally with people throughout the company and to convey sophisticated concepts to all levels. High level of proficiency in English
• Display unwavering attention to detail and a high level of integrity and professionalism
• Ability to clearly document findings and recommend practical solutions
• Ability to travel occasionally - primarily within India, but internationally if required
