Job Description

Job Summary

The Audiologist will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating hearing and balance disorders. The role involves working closely with patients to provide individualized care, conducting audiometric testing, fitting and maintaining hearing aids, and counseling patients on hearing loss management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:

- Conduct comprehensive audiometric evaluations to assess hearing and balance disorders.

- Interpret test results and diagnose auditory disorders.

- Provide thorough documentation and reports on diagnostic findings.

2. Treatment and Rehabilitation:

- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with hearing and balance disorders.

- Fit, program, and maintain hearing aids and other assistive listening devices.

- Provide auditory rehabilitation and counseling to patients and their families.

3. Patient Education and Counseling:

- Educate patients and their families about hearing loss, treatment options, and proper hearing aid use and care.

- Counsel patients on communication strategies and hearing conservation.

4. Collaborative Care:

- Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including ENT specialists, speech therapists, and primary care physicians, to provide integrated care.

- Refer patients to other medical or educational services as needed.

5. Administrative Duties:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.

- Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in audiology.

- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

6. Community Outreach:

- Conduct hearing health awareness programs and screenings in the community.

- Participate in health fairs, workshops, and seminars to promote hearing health.

Qualifications:

- Doctoral degree in Audiology (Au.D) or equivalent.

- Current state licensure in Audiology.

- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or the American Board of Audiology (ABA).

- Proven experience in conducting audiometric evaluations and fitting hearing aids.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong organizational and time management abilities.

- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with pediatric audiology.

- Knowledge of the latest hearing aid technologies and fitting techniques.

- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.

Working Conditions:

- Full-time position with occasional weekend or evening hours.

- Work in a clinical setting with standard audiology equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?10,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
