Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Asterisk Developer to join our technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining telephony solutions using Asterisk. Your expertise will be pivotal in building scalable and reliable voice communication systems that align with our enterprise AI voice assistant platform.Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, configure, and maintain Asterisk-based VoIP systems, including PBX, IVR, and call routing.

• Design and implement custom dial plans, call flows, and scripts to meet business requirements.

• Integrate Asterisk with other systems such as CRM, databases, and AI platforms.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SIP, telephony protocols, and Asterisk configurations.

• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize for reliability and scalability.

• Collaborate with the engineering team to incorporate Asterisk-based solutions into AI-driven voice bots.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, including QoS and security protocols.

RequirementsRequired Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience with Asterisk PBX installation, configuration, and customization.

• Strong knowledge of VoIP protocols such as SIP, RTP, IAX, and telephony standards.

• Proficiency in developing and debugging custom dial plans and call flows.

• Experience with integrating Asterisk with databases (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL).

• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, or PHP for telephony applications.

• Knowledge of QoS, echo cancellation, and other VoIP performance tuning techniques.

• Basic understanding of network configurations, including firewalls, NAT, and VPNs.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with FreePBX or other Asterisk GUIs.

• Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix environments for server administration.

• Familiarity with cloud telephony platforms (e.g., Twilio, Plivo) and APIs.

• Exposure to AI voice systems or IVR integration with conversational AI platforms.

• Knowledge of WebRTC and real-time communications tools.

• Certifications in VoIP or telecommunication systems (e.g., Digium, CCNA Voice).
