It comprises the five primary sub-service lines of Audit, Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS), Forensics and Integrity Services (FIS), Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) and Technology Assurance. Within EY Global Delivery Services (GDS), which services clients across 50+ countries, Assurance is a fast-growing practice, with an ambitious long-term strategy for further growth.The RoleThe GDS Assurance Operations Leader is an existing role for which we are looking for a successor for the incumbent. He/she is a key member of the GDS Assurance leadership group. He/she leads a cross[1]geographical team of more than 250 colleagues and is primarily responsible for the following:

  • Business planning for the Assurance SL in GDS, including planning for workforce, infrastructure, annualized and discretionary spends
  • Working with GDS Assurance and Global/Area Assurance leaders in contributing to the SL strategy and in implementing the identified actions
  • Program managing transformational initiatives in partnership with a myriad set of stakeholders across GDS and other parts of EY
  • Owning the Assurance P&L and associated metrics pertaining to volumes and efficiency
  • End-to-end workforce management, including demand planning, supply planning, recruitment signalling, cross-utilization across teams and effective deployment of personnel on client engagements
  • Owning the System of Quality Management (SQM) controls pertaining to Assurance operations
  • Working with GDS Finance to formulate and publish the GDS Assurance rate card
  • Planning for and effectively tracking investments, both one-time and recurring items
  • Working with the central GDS Finance team on invoicing and in managing accruals, AR & AP
  • Publishing of periodic business dashboards
  • Setup/incubation of new locations
  • Business continuity planning and crisis management
  • Liaising with Workplace Enablement Services (WES), IT and procurement for infrastructure provisioning
  • Management of expenses and associated claims
  • Facilitation and tracking of employee secondments/rotations (short-term and long-term), in conjunction with the Cross-Border Transaction Services (CBTS), Mobility and Talent teams
  • Performing periodic business cadences to ensure overall execution rhythm
  • Handling of operational escalations from GDS service delivery teams as well as from GDS users
  • Continuous operational process and productivity improvements, by leveraging technology and a combination of new and established CI methods
Skills and Experience Sought
  • At least 15 years of overall experience, of which at least 8 years must be with a multinational firm, preferably a Big Four
  • Proven expertise in driving operational efficiencies
  • Strong understanding of EY and/or a global delivery ecosystem
  • Familiarity and comfort with operating in a matrix reporting environment
  • Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional initiatives and in leading cross-geography teams
  • Ability to provide a balanced perspective - by thinking strategically without losing attention to detail, in an ambiguous environment
  • Quick decision-making in a setup with varying - and sometimes conflicting - priorities
  • Strong analytical skills, with a high level of proficiency in modelling tools
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • MBA or equivalent from a well-recognized B-school (desired)
