Job Description


Job Title: Assistant Manager IIDepartment: Secretarial, Compliance and CSR
Reports to: Deputy Manager IIExperience: Upto 5 years of work experience in similar roles
Preferred Qualification: Company Secretary qualification
Required Qualification: Bachelors degree in Law from any recognized universitySkill, Knowledge AND Trainings:1. Understanding of various statues such as: Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934, Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006, Companies Act, 2013, PMLA, IT Act, Cyber Laws, DPDP Act, Labor Laws, Environmental Laws etc.;Core Competencies:1. Handling of Compliance Management Software / Tool
2. Handling of regulatory compliance requirements and regulatory audit and inspection
3. Conducting compliance audit and verification of evidence of compliances
4. Excellent legal research, tracking various amendments in applicable laws and carrying out impact analysis for the company
5. An eye for details and maintaining accuracy in deliverables
6. Good IT skills comprising hands-on experience of MS office (MS Word, MS Excel and Power point etc.)
7. Sincere and hard-working, willingness to learn new things, team building and team working, Patience and willingness to work beyond normal timings as per demands of the work assignment.
8. Ability to work under pressure and stressful scenarios
9. Strong administrative skills and analytical approach to problem solving
10. Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments and adhere to internal/external regulatory guidelines
11. Effective Communication and good command of language. Ability to communicate in a professional manner.

13. Initiative driven and self-motivated.Functional Competencies:1. Understanding of various statues viz, Regulatory Laws such as Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007, PMLA, Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934, Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 etc.), Companies Act, 2013, Labour Laws, Cyber Laws, Data Privacy Laws, Environmental Laws etc and Rules / Regulations thereunder.
2. Good understanding of the Jurisdiction and the relevant statutes- applicability of new legislations, including impact assessment. Ability to analyse and interpret complex regulatory requirement.
3. Prior experience of handling compliance software and able to manage and monitor compliance dashboard on daily basis, ability to coordinate with various departments and facilitate resolution of issues with respect to compliance management system.
4. Handle all work to ensure compliances of all laws applicable to the Company by various departments.
5. Understanding of the extant labour laws and the upcoming labour codes, as may be implemented from time to time.
6. Ensure that the company remains compliant with all policies that have been implemented, ensure compliance to all the regulatory inspection observations
7. Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology using documentation and internet resources and assist others in understanding them as well.
8. Efficient documentation and Paper Handling in an organized manner.
9. The candidate should be capable of working in a coordinated manner in a team oriented environment for completion of the assigned tasks in a timely manner.Job Purpose: The primary responsibility is to assist in matters referred to and arising out of functioning of the Compliance Department. This is a key position as it relates to organizational reputation when gauged on the compliance. Candidate should be able to independently discharge duties with least supervision and devote requisite time as per job responsibilities.Area of Operations: Monitoring overall compliance requirements under all applicable laws, Review of Existing and New Legislations, Research and Other Ancillary MattersKey Responsibility:1. Should keep abreast with the latest regulatory changes / requirement and ensure such requirements are complied with and update the management in respect of change in regulatory requirements. Stay updated with the regulatory changes and best industry practices and advise on applicability in our environment.
2. Maintaining and tracking of all regulatory correspondence and submission of periodic MIS to management.
3. Assessment of changes in the existing legislations and applicability of new legislations including impact assessment, specifically concerning financial markets and related areas.
4. Handling of compliance management software on regular basis, resolving the requests / queries received from other departments after due analysis, verification / audit of compliance report by the users.
5. Carrying out verification of the compliance reported by various departments in Compliance Management System with independent verification of evidence of compliances
6. Assist department during RBI inspection, periodic reporting of implementation of inspection observation, convening of meeting with RBI officials and other related matters. Ensure that information requested by the regulators are promptly submitted.
7. Work proactively to assess and prioritize compliance issues, establish, implement and manage compliance policies, procedures and monitoring throughout the organization to ensure that the compliance program is effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting and correcting non-compliance with internal policies and regulatory environment.
8. Review of various compliance requirements under Bye Laws, Rules and Regulations of the Company and various sectoral regulations and directives from regulatory authorities for timely identification and mapping in compliance management system.
9. Demonstrate initiative by proactively reviewing/assessing compliance procedures and implement effective improvements as needed to compliance management system.
10. Assist department in complying with ISO 27001 Standards.
11. Train and educate staff on compliance matters as needed.
12. Work collaboratively with other teams to effectively discharge compliance obligations. Should be able to respond department queries effectively and courteously.
13. Assistance with day-to-day administrative functions of the Department, including maintenance of MIS, records etc. Routine and other work relating to compliance as may be assigned by the department.
14. Assisting department in conducting meetings of the Board Committee on compliance matters including preparation of notice, agenda and minutes of the meeting.Any Other Requirement:Any other work / responsibility that may be assigned, from time to time, by the Company.
