Asst. Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Manager in Chemical Engineering to join our team. The Assistant Manager will primarily focus on overseeing chemical engineering aspects of industrial projects, with specific emphasis on experience in hydrogen plant projects being an added advantage. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the advancement of renewable energy solutions and sustainable practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Process Design and Optimization: Lead the design and optimization of chemical processes for industrial projects, with a focus on efficiency, safety, and environmental sustainability. Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, and equipment specifications.
2) Equipment Selection and Specification: Select and specify chemical equipment and components, such as reactors, distillation columns, heat exchangers, and separators. Evaluate vendors and ensure equipment meets project requirements.
3) Material and Energy Balances: Perform material and energy balance calculations to optimize process efficiency and resource utilization. Identify opportunities for waste minimization and energy recovery.
4) Process Safety and Hazard Analysis: Conduct process safety reviews, hazard identification studies, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Implement risk mitigation measures as needed.
5) Process Troubleshooting: Provide technical support for troubleshooting process issues during project execution and operation. Develop solutions to address process deviations and improve performance.
6) Quality Control and Assurance: Establish quality control procedures and specifications for raw materials, intermediates, and final products. Monitor process parameters and product quality to ensure adherence to standards.
7) Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards for chemical processes and emissions. Implement measures to minimize environmental impact and mitigate pollution risks.
8) Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of process designs, specifications, test results, and operational data. Prepare progress reports and presentations for project stakeholders.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
2. Proven experience of 6-10 Years in chemical engineering roles, with a focus on industrial projects (Oil & Gas . Experience in hydrogen plant projects is an added advantage.
3. Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles, unit operations, and process simulation software.
4. Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME, NFPA) applicable to chemical processes.
5. Experience in process safety management, including PHA, LOPA, and HAZOP studies.
6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex process issues.
7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
