Job Description

1. Objective:The Asst DPC will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring livelihood projects aimed at improving the economic well-being and livelihood opportunities of communities.

2. Project Planning:

- Develop project plans and strategies for livelihood interventions based on community needs assessment and stakeholder consultations.

- Identify target beneficiaries and determine project goals, objectives, and outcomes.

3. Implementation:

- Coordinate the implementation of livelihood projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

- Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for project activities.

- Provide technical guidance and support to project staff and community partners involved in project implementation.

4. Livelihood Interventions:

- Design and implement livelihood interventions, including skills training, entrepreneurship development, income-generating activities, and access to financial services.

- Facilitate the establishment of community-based organizations, cooperatives, or self-help groups to support livelihood initiatives.

- Monitor the progress of livelihood activities, assess their impact on target beneficiaries, and make adjustments as necessary.

5. Partnership Development:

- Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, community-based organizations, and other stakeholders to leverage resources and expertise for livelihood projects.

- Establish and maintain effective partnerships and networks at the local, regional, and national levels to support project objectives.

6. Capacity Building:

- Conduct training sessions and workshops to build the capacity of project staff, community members, and partner organizations on livelihood-related topics such as financial literacy, business management, and agricultural practices.

- Provide mentorship and technical support to individuals and groups engaged in livelihood activities.

7. Monitoring and Evaluation:

- Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track the progress and impact of livelihood projects.

- Collect, analyze, and report data on project outputs, outcomes, and indicators.

- Prepare regular progress reports and contribute to project documentation and knowledge management.

8. Community Engagement:

- Foster active participation and engagement of community members in project planning, implementation, and decision-making processes.

- Promote gender equality and social inclusion in livelihood interventions, ensuring equitable access to opportunities for all community members.

9. Advocacy and Networking:

- Advocate for policies and practices that support sustainable livelihood development and poverty reduction.

- Represent the organization in relevant forums, meetings, and networks related to livelihoods and economic development.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree or higher in development studies, rural development, agriculture, economics, or a related field.

- Proven experience (3 years) working in livelihood development projects, preferably in rural or marginalized communities.

- Strong understanding of livelihood strategies, income-generating activities, and community-based approaches to poverty alleviation.

- Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and monitoring.

- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with experience using monitoring and evaluation tools and software.

- Commitment to gender equality, social inclusion, and participatory approaches in development work.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.1.
