Responsibilities
Strategy
Manage a team covering various product categories and regions. (Asset classes: Credit, Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities, Treasury etc.)
Ensure appropriate controls and reviews are maintained for Daily P&L production, Core reconciliations, Month end close and BSS.
Ensure the teams are performing timely lockdown of daily and monthly P&L.
Should be able to substantiate daily and monthly adjustments held in P&L and control accounts.
Review monthly/quarterly balance sheet, with substantiation and potential financial exposure.
Review various reconciliation reports, management packs and adhoc reports.
Review of month end Journals for accrual, provision and true up.
Take responsibility for the quality of work submitted and ensure that the highest standards are maintained.
Develop & maintain effective and standard processes. Maintain KOP\'s/DI\'s.
Support change project initiatives and conduct User Acceptance Testing for enhancements to current systems or migration to new system

Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks. Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from team members and work in collaboration with risk and control partners

Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives. Provide thought leadership and take accountability from Bangalore on different initiatives spanning \xe2\x80\x93 Technology (SABRE, Aspire, Razor, Stride), Regulatory (IBOR, ViR ).

Maintaining a pleasant workplace environment which is motivating and enables high performance within team.
Monitoring people performance, providing timely feedback, performing annual and mid-year appraisals. (including people development, pipeline/skills monitoring, and training programs,)

Manage strong relationship with support teams (IT, Operations and Risk) and bring synergies by interacting and integrating with cross functional teams
Our Ideal Candidate
You are an experienced person in financial services and exposure to Trading desks, Product Control Management, Regional finance team and various internal stakeholders
We want to hear from you if you have:
MBA, CA, CFA, ACCA with a minimum of 8+ years experience (post qualification) in a financial service industry with at least 2+ years of People Management experience.
Strong leadership skills and ability to manage teams
Control mindset and ability to identify and mitigate and control gaps
Good understanding of financial market products
Ability to develop, implement and maintain effective and standard operational processes.
Excellent people and resource management skills.
Excellent Interpersonal skills. Should be able to communicate at all levels.
