We are looking for a candidate with a strong academic record for our Property & Casualty underwriting analytics group at Bangalore. We work with business functions across reinsurance value-chain that are co-located in Bangalore enabling you with a 360 view of insurance/reinsurance industry. This is your opportunity to be part of the growing P&C Underwriting analytics function and working in tandem with Underwriting teams across the globe at business locations and other business functions co-located in our set-up in Bangalore.

Main tasks/activities/responsibilities

Our team provides high quality underwriting analytics focusing on Natural Catastrophe modeling and Risk Analysis, and together with our onshore underwriting partners, we make some of the largest Swiss Re deals/transactions possible. You would also work with cross-functional teams to deliver analytical insights to our clients for some of the most complex property portfolios and risks spread across the globe. This would give you an opportunity to complement your insurance and actuarial skills along with data analytics, Nat Cat modeling, and underwriting adviory

About You

• An advanced degree in the field of natural & actuarial science or a quantitative field which is closely related to these disciplines. Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance principles with a willingness and motivation to learn and improve the skills in this field.
• Embraces teamwork and appreciates continuous communication and interaction in a global setting.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills - with a can-do and pragmatic attitude
• Passion towards operational excellence, as well as zeal to advance yourself continuously
• Above all: scientific and technological curiosity with the ability to bring new ideas and to constructively challenge the status quo

Excellent oral and written English skills
