Overview This role should serve as a bridge between a Senior Sitecore Developer and Technical Lead. A person with this role is supposed to take the ownership of a project, having more than 3 resources, from a delivery point of view. The person will be taking up the delivery tasks along with other team members and helping them resolve any technical challenges or blockers. The purpose of the role is to have more SPOCs for the projects to cater to multiple requirements at a time.
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities Strategic Focus
• Managing the delivery of the project with his/her technical expertise.
• Contribution to the project with resource utilization and resolving any blockers.
Operational Management
• Connect with different stake holders of the project to get the clear development objective
• Work with development team members to achieve the delivery timelines
• Provide solution to the team members for any technical challenges
• Co-ordinate with TA/TBA, SDM, Technical Lead and Testing team to resolve any blockers for the project
• Maintain the code quality and reusability as per LinkGroup standards
• Process improvement for releasing bug free products
• Promote a culture of learning latest on technologies and keep the team members engaged
• Contribute to creating feature specifications and technical design schematics.
• Contribute to requirements gathering and analysis activities such as storyboarding, developing use cases, and creating functional requirements specifications.
• Create web user interface server-side functionality using ASP.NET Web Forms, ASP.NET MVC.
• Perform code reviews, manage code repositories and provide guidelines to multiple cross-geography development teams
• Conceptual design of technical solutions providing a framework for detailed design
• Develop high quality and high performing Sitecore-based web solutions from detailed specifications
• Practice strong configuration management and version control
• Manage the technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration elements of a Sitecore implementation
• Provide detailed estimates and participate in sales solutioning and proposal creation
• Manage technical scopes and client expectations
People Leadership
• Leading a project team for delivery
• Keep the team members engaged with deliverables and motivate them for better performance
• Provide hands-on, expert-level technical assistance to developers
• Coach and mentor junior developers and configurators; own responsibility for ongoing technical development of developers on Sitecore projects
• review the work of your team(s) across all phases (Plan, Analyse, Design, Build and Test) of one or more projects
Governance & Risk
• Reviewing at the coding standards to comply with Infosec principles
Experience & Personal Attributes • 8 - 11 Years of overall software Development experience with 5+ years of Sitecore Experience with Content Management Solutions, including custom development versus out-of-the-box configuration
• Sitecore 8/9 Certified Professional Developer with Sitecore 9 experience (Sitecore 9+ Certified Platform Associate Developer a plus)
• UI/UX experience, with examples of Sitecore administrative interface designs and implementations
• Experience in creatingweb user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (REACT).
• Experience on Sitecore extension development
• At least 4+ years of C# MVC, using Razor
• Comfortable with decompiling assemblies to inspect them during troubleshooting
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization.
• Comfortable with implementing interfaces, services, utilizing dependency injection / inversion of control
• Develop features in .NET custom applications and .NET components of Sitecore based on feature specifications and technical designs.
• Contribute to performance and load testing procedures and issue remediation.
• Good understanding about design patterns and coding architectures
• Strong communication skills and ability to gather requirements
• Experience with GIT, GIT branching methodologies, GIT merge strategies, and general repository management
• Understands REST, WCF, SOAP, message queuing
• Must have experience in .NET, ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, jQuery, REST API, Web API, SOAP using HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, XML, C#, VB.net, CRM SDK, ASP.NET, JQuery to enhance and maintain SiteCore implementation
• Strong knowledge of configuration management principles, ITIL processes and COBIT framework
• Understanding of refactoring, factory patterns, visitor and decorator patterns, singleton, observer, and proxy patterns
• Willing to become the SME regarding Sitecore and WebCMS applications
• Have a sense of ownership for the end to end delivery and support of the applications you are creating
Good to Have:
• Exposure to Test Driven Environment using Manual and Automated testing
• Adept at diagnosing complex issues and troubleshooting code
• Has high coding standards & can maintain them even when the pressure is on
• Someone who can collaborate with teams spread across geography
• Knowledge of Unit Testing, Test driven development, Mocking jQuery, bootstrap, responsive and adaptive concepts. Good to have Azure DEVOPS knowledge
• Good experience with common design patterns
• Experience of agile / scrum environments
• Ability to solve complex problems and finding quick solutions
• Experience of working in an agile team of product managers, developers, environment engineers and release managers.
• Good communication skills required both written & verbal
• Self-motivated and a good team player
