WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH:
Strategy CoE regularly collaborates with Sr. stakeholders (Sr. Partners, EVPs) from Bain's Strategy Practice, and works with Bain case teams across the globe on strategy case requirements.
The work spans across industries with variety of analysis including but not limited to industry/sector analysis and scans, analyzing disruptive themes and evolving start-up ecosystem, VC/PE analysis, M&A and Corporate venture capital investment scans, Digital heuristics identifying key trends/drivers/challenges, survey analysis, etc.
The Strategy CoE also acts as a thought partner for creating impactful PoVs on evolving business landscape and themes , which requires strong skillset around research, analytics, and stakeholder management.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Work in a team setup, under the guidance of Project Leader/Managers, playing a key role in project execution and driving the team's overall answer, final materials, client communication, work planning, and team management
• Conduct deep-dive research (leveraging various internal repository tools, subscribed databases, online literature/reports, etc.) to produce high-quality, client-ready reports focusing on business insights and actionable results
• Wherever needed, build a solid understanding of emerging innovative themes and disruptions and their impact on business models (industry-agnostic)
• Understand client requirements and resolve complex issues across work streams, generate and screen realistic answers based on sound reality checks, and recommend actionable solutions
• Take ownership for assigned cases and lead the discussion on generating initial hypotheses while providing timely and useful inputs on related dimensions
• May need to manage a team of 1-3 analysts and provide feedback, review support and coach them on task execution and role responsibility
• Consistently seek and provide meaningful and actionable feedback in all interactions; recognize different skills and development needs in oneself and work towards it
ABOUT YOU:
• Relevant experience of 2-5 years for undergraduates and 0-3 years for post-graduates in a global professional services firm environment with exposure to business research and consulting. Experience in leading a team of at least 1-2 members is preferable
• Identify and employ relevant research sources and analytical tools to ensure timely, high-quality and zero-defect output. Ability to quickly come up to speed on different business function and perform research and analysis across geographies and industries in a quick turnaround environment
• Strong preference for candidates with high proficiency in business communication and with an experience of working with leadership
• Proficient professional with sound business logic and ability to structure approaches to answer complex business questions. Should be able to cross-link multiple business models and industries dynamics, using key drivers/KPIs behind operational and financial performance.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft power-point and excel are required
• Knowledge of Tableau/Alteryx/Python will be an added advantage
