Job Title Associate, Software Development Engineering What does a successful RPGLE / AS400 Iseries Developer do at Fiserv Requirement gathering and understanding of client process to create a Process design document. Ability to determine the root cause of application/product/service problems and create alternative solutions that resolve the problems in the best interest of the business Develop Software Design Document based on client requirement Code review, Unit testing, QA defect fix. Provide support for User Acceptance testing. Providing production support / On call support for the features in production. Develop POC for new process improvement concepts/Ideas. Perform Code retrofit between custom code and Product Release code What You will do: Responsible for Software Design using the RPGLE Programing language as pe the coding standard. Ability to perform debugging / troubleshooting and maintaining computer programs Develop Software Design Document based on client requirement Code review, Unit testing, QA defect fix. Provide support for User Acceptance testing. Providing production support / On call support for the processes in production. Develop POC for new process improvement concepts/Ideas. Perform Code retrofit for each release upgrade. Engage in providing support towards the Environment creation and upgrade. Provide support to the team members in performing estimation of the feature and project consultancy What you will need to have: Expertise of 5-7 years in AS400, RPG, CL. Well versed with the Databases SQL Queries like SELECT, JOINS and other related command of DB2 Knowledge of the Banking and Financial Domain Experience of working in Core Banking Application like Signature, FIS, Temenos, MISYS etc. Knowledge of and the ability to write code apply incremental testing techniques during code development to ensure a high degree of reliability. Knowledge of and experience with using a structured methodology for delivering new or enhanced software products to the marketplace. Knowledge and application of design techniques, debugging skills, making technology choices. Knowledge of software quality assurance tools and techniques, and ability to evaluate new or enhanced systems, software packages and software applications to ensure a high level of quality, including adherence to functionality and quality requirements. Previous experience in business analysis and process re-engineering What would be great to have: Candidate must be from Banking, Insurance or Financial Domain Experience of working in the legacy applications Proficiency with MS Office Suite. Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall Methodology. Knowledge of MS Visio or UML modeling tools a plus Analytical skills to assess client business need, identify solutions, and manage requirements across multiple projects. Excellent communication skills including written and verbal Active listening skills to understand what people say and document those statements Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
