Reporting to: Manager, Communications (Social Media)


The Associate, Social Media will play a pivotal role in amplifying Teach For India's mission by creating impactful content, managing digital communities, collaborating with influencers, and analyzing performance metrics. This role demands creativity, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of social media trends to drive engagement and impact.?


#### Responsibilities

As an Associate, Social Media, your responsibilities include:

Content Creation:

• Identify compelling stories, achievements, and moments from classrooms, Fellows, and Students that resonate with Teach For India's vision and values.
• Plan and execute content creation, including scripting, video shooting, editing, copywriting, and designing on Canva.
• Collaborate with Fellows, Students, and other stakeholders to bring authentic and impactful narratives to life.
• Stay updated on social media trends and innovate new content formats (reels, carousels, IG stories) to maintain an engaging social media presence.

Community Management:

• Monitor and manage all comments, messages, and mentions across platforms to foster a positive and responsive online presence.
• Develop a structured system to respond to queries and feedback within 48 working hours, ensuring consistency and accuracy in communication.

Influencer Management:

• Research and create a database of influencers aligned with Teach For India's mission, focusing on education, social impact, and youth engagement.
• Build relationships with influencers, initiating meaningful collaborations to increase visibility and engagement.
• Organize and facilitate influencer school visits, ensuring their experience reflects the organization's values and stories.

Analytics:

• Track and document performance metrics, including reach, impressions, engagement, and follower growth, for all social media platforms.

Social Media Management:

• Maintain a comprehensive social media calendar, ensuring timely planning and execution of posts across platforms.
• Schedule and publish content across channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube) while optimizing posts for platform-specific algorithms.

As an Associate at Teach For India, your responsibilities include:

• Contributing to the team goals and priorities beyond individual goals and priorities
• Serving as an ambassador of the Teach For India brand and an advocate for our work and for educational equity in our country through both internal and external communication after committing time in our classrooms to understand our work more deeply
• Supporting with key organizational areas such as Recruitment, Selection, Fundraising, Volunteering, Movement Building

#### Minimum Qualifications, Experiences and Expectations

• 0-3 years of professional experience.
• Experience in social media management with an eye for trends, proficiency in analytics tools and design platforms like Canva, and strong skills in content creation and copywriting.
• Experience of having planned and executed complex projects with multiple priorities in a college or work setting.
• Experience of having collaborated effectively with a broad range of individuals and groups.
• Experiences of having taken initiative in the past.
• Previous experience in teaching/education would be an added advantage (not mandatory).
