Join us in powering the progress of global aerospace.Position Overview:Boeing Defense India team is currently looking for an Associate Quality Systems Specialist to join their team in IAF Chandigarh, India to support the CH-47F Program operations.The ideal candidate will be a reliable and competent professional who possesses the ability to work well across diverse groups and effectively collaborate across organizational boundaries. The candidate will be a problem solver who can effectively implement solutions in an ever-evolving environment. Skills will be necessary to implement key initiatives including, Control Plan/Defect Reduction and Lean Service Delivery.The candidate will exhibit resilience and tenacity in implementing improvements in an established and regulated production and the quality management system.This candidate will be responsible for Quality oversight for CH-47 Aircraft Support Agreement (ASA) Program activities at Customer base comprising of implementation of QMS system, incoming/outgoing inspections for both Boeing parts/components as well as those coming directly from Suppliers into our warehouses, periodic quality audit, Supplier performance.Position Responsibilities/Associated Skills:Technical Knowledge: Understanding of defense aircraft parts and assemblies, including their specifications, materials, and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in interpreting specifications, and technical documentation related to the inspected components.Inspection Techniques: Proficiency in using various inspection techniques, tools, equipment and processes. Ability to perform visual inspections, dimensional measurements, and functional tests to ensure compliance with requirements.Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices related to Aerospace quality system internal audits and supplier performance management.Quality Standards and Regulations: Knowledge of relevant quality standards and regulations specific to defense aircraft, such as AS9100, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-883. Understanding of the requirements for traceability, documentation, and certification of inspected parts and assembliesAudit Techniques and Tools : Proficiency in planning and conducting internal QMS audits as per AS9100D and AS9120B, including developing audit plans, checklists, and schedules.Ability to assess risks associated with supplier performance and internal processes. Proficiency in identifying potential risks, evaluating their impact, and developing risk mitigation strategies. Understanding of the importance of risk-based auditing and supplier management approaches.Data Analysis and Reporting: Proficiency in analyzing performance data, to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Ability to prepare comprehensive audit reports and performance metrics, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for corrective actions.Supplier Evaluation and oversight: Ability to assess supplier capabilities, performance history, quality systems, and compliance with requirements.Documentation and Record-Keeping: Strong attention to detail in documenting inspection results, including measurements, observations, and any non-conformances identified. Ability to maintain accurate and organized inspection records, including inspection reports, certificates of conformance, and non-conformance reports.Root Cause Analysis: Proficiency in conducting root cause analysis to identify the underlying causes of any non-conformances or discrepancies found during the inspection process. Ability to work with cross-functional teams to determine appropriate corrective actions and prevent recurrence.Compliance and Security: Knowledge of export control regulations and security requirements related to defense aircraft parts and assemblies. Understanding of the importance of compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and other applicable regulations to protect sensitive information and maintain national security.Calibration Procedures: Knowledge and understanding of calibration procedures for various types of equipment, including measurement instruments, test equipment, and tools. Ability to follow established calibration procedures accurately and efficiently.Calibration Standards and Traceability: Familiarity with calibration standards and traceability requirements, including national and international standards such as ISO/IEC 17025. Understanding the importance of maintaining traceability to recognized standards and ensuring accurate and reliable measurements.Effective communication skills to interact with program team members, suppliers, and stakeholders involved in the program and quality processes. Ability to provide clear and constructive feedback, facilitate discussions, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve performance.Ethical Conduct and Professionalism: Demonstrated ethical conduct and professionalism in conducting audits and managing supplier performance. Ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and objectivity throughout the audit and supplier management processes. Understanding of the importance of ethical behavior in maintaining trust and credibility.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelors degree or higher is required as BASIC QUALIFICATION3+ years of experience in Inspection and Quality control for Aerospace/Automotive3+ years of experience in internal QMS audits of various aspects of a quality system in Aerospace or Automotive domains (associated with engineering, operations, or quality)2+ years of experience in production system and/or process improvements (i.e. Lean, improve job practices, techniques, and standards)5+ years of experience with QMS (Quality Management System) and AS91002+ years of experience with precision measurement equipment for Aerospace and Automotive domainsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Qualification as an Auditor in the ISO/AS/IATF Standards will be an added advantage.Experience in MRO and Logistics support operations for Aerospace will be preferred.Typical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years\' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master +4 years\' related work experience.Relocation:This position does offer relocation within INDIA.Boeing is the world's largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial airplanes and defense, space and security systems.
