Job Description

Ravishankar College of Pharmacy invites applications from highly qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Pharmaceutics and related subjects, conducting research, guiding research scholars, and contributing to the academic and administrative activities of the department.

Essential Qualifications (As per PCI norms):

• A bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from a PCI-approved institution.
• A master's degree in Pharmaceutics (M.Pharm in Pharmacology) from a PCI-approved institution with at least 55% marks (or equivalent CGPA).
• A Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology or a related discipline from a recognized university.
• Candidates must have qualified in the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by UGC like SLET/SET.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in teaching/research/industry, out of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent in the discipline of Pharmacology.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Postdoctoral research experience in Pharmacology or related areas from a reputed institution/organization.
• Research publications in peer-reviewed journals of high impact in the field of Pharmacology.
• Experience in guiding research scholars and managing research projects in Pharmacology.
• Participation in curriculum development and academic administration related to Pharmacology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Pharmacology and related subjects.
• Develop and update course materials, lecture notes, and instructional resources for Pharmacology courses.
• Conduct research in the field of Pharmacology and publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals.
• Guide and supervise research scholars and students for their dissertation/project work in Pharmacology.
• Participate in curriculum development, academic planning, and departmental activities related to Pharmacology.
• Engage in continuous professional development and keep abreast of the latest developments in Pharmacology.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the department or institution.
