Job Description

Responsibilities of Associate Professor:

? Providing academic leadership in both under-graduate and postgraduate courses in relevant fields of specialisation.

? To conduct and guide research work in the specialty in coordination with HOD; Research activities and research guidance and scientific publications.

? Student evaluation and programme evaluation.

? Developing resource material for teaching and learning.

? Students' Counselling

? Leading / supporting and guiding students in their co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, maintenance of the department and other subordinate staff.

? Contributing effectively in identifying live projects for the students wherever applicable, leading to laboratory modification and removal of obsolescence

? Providing demonstrations and supervising experiments and investigations.

? Answering questions in class or via email or telephone.

? To help postgraduate students in preparation of dissertation and seminar / journal club as assigned by the HOD

? Providing feedback on student progress to concerned designated authority.

? Departmental Activities -

? Planning and implementation of instruction in the department

? Assisting in departmental administration.

? Writing proposals to secure funding for research.

? Taking part in teaching programmes of the department
