Post Graduate Medical College is inviting applications for the positions of Associate Professor and Professor in Psychiatry. The successful candidates will contribute to teaching, research, and clinical services within the Department of Psychiatry, fostering academic excellence and promoting mental health awareness and care.

Key Responsibilities:

For Associate Professor:

• Provide leadership and guidance to the Department of Psychiatry, overseeing academic programs, research initiatives, and clinical services.
• Conduct lectures, seminars, and case discussions for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
• Mentor and supervise junior faculty members, residents, and students in research projects and clinical rotations.
• Engage in research activities, secure funding, and publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals.
• Provide clinical care to patients with psychiatric disorders, ensuring compassionate and evidence-based treatment.

For Professor:

• Lead the development and implementation of innovative teaching methods and curriculum enhancements in Psychiatry.
• Deliver lectures, workshops, and training programs for medical students, residents, and healthcare professionals.
• Mentor and supervise faculty members, residents, and fellows in their academic and professional growth.
• Drive research initiatives, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to scientific advancements in Psychiatry.
• Provide expert consultation and leadership in the diagnosis and management of complex psychiatric cases.

Requirements:

• MD/DNB or equivalent qualification in Psychiatry from a recognized institution.
• For Associate Professor: Minimum of five years of teaching experience in Psychiatry at a medical college or university, with a distinguished academic record.
• For Professor: Significant teaching experience with a distinguished academic record, leadership skills, and research accomplishments.
• Active involvement in research activities, publications, and presentations in the field of Psychiatry.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
• Registration with the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council.
