Associate - Big Data Engineering - IN
Professionals in this group design and implement high-performance, scalable and optimized data solutions for large enterprise wide data mining and processing.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• They are responsible for design and development of data flows and Big Data Platform deployment and implementation.
• Incumbents usually require expert knowledge in Apache, Hadoop, NoSQL databases, Spark, Hive etc.

Educational Requirements

• University (Degree) Preferred

Job Profile:

Extend Production Support in L2/L3 capacity. Being able to efficiently debug and troubleshoot production issues by giving tactical and technical solution.

Evaluate existing data solutions, enhance ETLs, develop documentation, and train/help team members.

Collaborate and work with business/users/admin/DEV and other app support teams and infrastructure teams on prod issues and develop the path for resolution.

Participate & provide support for releases, risks, mitigation plan, and regular DR exercise for project roll out.

Drive Automation, Permanent Fixes to prevent issues from reoccurring.

Bring continuous improvements to reduce time to resolve for production incidents.

Perform root cause analysis and identify and implement corrective and preventive measures.

Document standards, processes and procedures relating to best practices, issues and resolutions.

Constantly upskill with tools & technologies to meet organization\xe2\x80\x99s future needs.

Be available for rotating shifts/weekend shifts and on call (on rotation) in a support role.

Effectively manage multiple, competing priorities

Technical Skills:

Good command on ETL Logics (Py-Spark preferable) / Datawarehouse (snowflake preferable).

Vibrant technical knowledge in Spark, Python/Java Spring Boot.

Application development knowledge on cloud base DWs. Cloud basic exposure and AWS based app support.

Experience in supporting logical and physical data models for Data Lake and knowledge of ETL, API integrations, Streaming data ingestion and data governance.

Knowledge of Unix & Shell Scripting

Good command on database Snowflake/Oracle/AWS RDS and languages (SQL, PL/SQL).

Experience in message streaming (Kafka, OpenShift etc.)

Knowledge on scheduling tools like Autosys and monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.

ITIL framework. Incident/request/change managements. Service now.

Secondary

Experience/knowledge of Java Spring boot, Kong, Data Authentication, Stibo-step is a plus

Soft Skills:

Team Player \xe2\x80\x93 ability to work in global team environment. Partner with Development, Infrastructure teams and Peripheral Systems and business users.

Flexible to pick up conflicting priorities.

Ability to work under pressure to deal with Production Priorities

Upskill & Upgrade self as per strategic roadmaps.

Good Communication skills

Demonstrate ownership and great sense of responsibility for production issues

Ready to work during weekends as well as in shifts.

Location: Mumbai/Pune

Shift:

Morning shift: 6:30 AM -3:30 PM

EV shift: 2 PM \xe2\x80\x93 11 PM

Any 5 Consecutive days out of 7 days of week in rotational manner.

(Mon-FRI/ Tue-SAT/ SUN-THU)

Work:

Hybrid office as per latest TIAA FTE policy
