Date Posted: 2024-08-29Country: IndiaLocation: North Gate Business Park Sy.No 2/1, and Sy.No 2/2, KIAL Road, Venkatala Village, Chowdeshwari Layout, Yelahanka, Bangalore, Karnataka 560064Position Role Type: UnspecifiedWhat You Will Do:The Associate Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers in complex avionics development, including design, test and certification.Job responsibilities:Leadership and management of Software development activities from detailed requirements development through test and certification.Acquires and develops Engineers, building a strong team of motivated and passionate talent.Responsible for program performance for cognizant projects and tactical execution of day-to-day operations.Ensures compliance to development processes and standard work requirements.May serve as the primary engineering focal point to our customers.Assigns technical resources to work assignments.Selecting, onboarding and training of new team members.Development and technical coaching of team members.Actively addressing employee performance and development issues.Identifying the necessary staff, facilities and equipment needed for successful execution of projects.Expected to spend at least 70% of their time in a direct hands-on technical role.Education & Experience:BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech ComputerScience/ECE/Avionics/Aeronautical with 12+ years of experience. Comprehensive experience in all phases of product development life cycle, including project management, lab infrastructure management, risk management and stake holder management.Good understanding of Avionics certification standards or process, such as DO178B/C, MISRA CQualifications You Must Have:Strong technical, leadership and organizational skills.Project Management experience - project cost, schedule, and scope management.Experience coaching or mentoring in a formal or informal setting.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong C programming skills, Embedded C, with good knowledge in Linux shell scripting, XML (Markup language).Strong RTOS concepts with experience on working with Multicore/Multi-Threading using VxWorks, Lynx OS.Good knowledge in Device Driver Implementation.Good knowledge on processors and their architecture (ARM, PowerPC etc.).Expertise with Software Configuration Management and Change Control Process (DOORS, JAMA, SVN, JIRA, GIT, Confluence etc.).Qualifications We Prefer:Experience with leading multi-geographic and ethnically diverse development teamsExperience with system integration and testingAbility to interface with Executive Managers, Program Managers and Operations Managers across all business areasCollins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
