Responsible for handling and managing insurance defense and tort litigation, other legal disputes, assignments and related issues and matters for Claims, including the management of the relationship with outside panel counsel, or retained counsel.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
\xef\x82\xa7 Run Counsel Link Reports, support Senior SMEs handling Corporate Division

• Provide guidance and direction to less experienced team members to ensure consistent application of billing guidelines and Counsel Link rule sets
• Review and analyze work performed by retained counsel firms on claims in litigation, including complex litigation
• Analyze Counsel Link system adjustments against established billing guidelines
• Review claim file and claim handling to determine appropriateness of tasks being billed by law firms
• Communicate with law firms to explain billing guideline discrepancies
• Use management report data to analyze law firm results
• Experience in handling paralegal work with 7+ years of experience managing projects related to complex litigation

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 4-year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
• 10 or more years of industry experience
• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Adjuster License (Preferred)

• Advanced to expert knowledge in Counsel Link matter management and invoice review
• Advanced to expert knowledge of claim litigation and tasks involved in handling litigation in a law firm
• Advanced to expert negotiation skills to review billing issues with law firms
• Advanced knowledge of claim litigation handling information in NextGen system
• Advanced knowledge and application of litigation handling billing guidelines
• Intermediate strategic/conceptual thinking skills
• Analytical and detail oriented
