Job Description


  • Lead the engagement with state and central government officials
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of regulatory landscape in FMCG in Gujarat
Plant Establishment:
  • Lead the engagement with state and central government officials, specifically focusing on ministries and departments relevant to the establishment of the plant.
  • Handhold all necessary approvals and licenses required for the successful initiation and operation of the plant.
License and Approvals Management:
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory landscape pertaining to the FMCG industry in Gujarat, ensuring a smooth and timely acquisition of licenses and approvals.
  • Work closely with regulatory bodies to expedite the approval process.
Government Relations: (Policy Monitoring and Analysis, Risk Mitigation and Reputational Comms)
  • Build and nurture effective relationships with key stakeholders at local, state and central levels to ensure a supportive and conducive regulatory environment for our plant.
  • Advocate for the interests of Coca-Cola India and strategically position the company within the government framework.
  • Stay vigilant about changes in government policies and regulations that may impact the establishment and operation of the plant.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of policy changes and provide strategic recommendations to mitigate potential challenges.
  • Understand any PR risks and mitigate reputation risks for the plant. Manage risk media and engage with key media houses and journalists.
  • Ensure CSR, Sustainability activities and associated awards and recognitions for the plant.
  • Collaborate with local communities in Gujarat to address any concerns related to the establishment of the plant.
  • Implement community outreach programs to foster positive relationships and ensure the company\'s operations align with community expectations.

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, or a related field. A Master\'s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in government affairs, with a focus on project establishment and approvals.
  • In-depth knowledge of licenses and approvals protocols in Gujarat, specifically in the FMCG industry.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills with government officials and external stakeholders. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
