Job Description


  • Job Purpose
  • Responsible for supporting the execution and management of Air India's overall SEO strategy, focusing on optimizing content and enhancing the visibility of the company's digital presence to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic.
SEO Strategy Implementation
  • Assist in developing and executing SEO strategies to increase organic search rankings and visibility across major search engines.
  • Regularly conduct comprehensive SEO audits to fix issues on priority and get desired results quickly
  • Implement on-page SEO tactics, including keyword research, meta-tag creation, and content optimization, to enhance webpage performance.
Technical SEO Monitoring
  • Monitor and report on technical SEO issues and collaborate with web development teams to ensure that the website is optimized for search engines.
  • Conduct regular site audits to detect on-site SEO opportunities and optimize site architecture.
Content Optimization
  • Work closely with the content team to ensure all online content is SEO-optimized and adheres to Google's guidelines.
  • Optimize existing content and collaborate on new content creation, focusing on incorporating targeted keywords and improving content quality for better ranking.
Link Building and Outreach
  • Assist in developing and executing link-building strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks from reputable sources.
  • Engage in outreach efforts to establish partnerships for guest blogging and content exchange.
Analytics and Reporting
  • Utilize SEO tools and Google Analytics to track and analyze website traffic and user engagement metrics.
  • Prepare detailed reports on SEO campaign performance, including keyword rankings, organic traffic, and other key metrics.
Key AccountabilitiesOther Responsibility Areas-
  • Lead the organic growth strategy to improve retention, referral and engagement metrics
  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other SEO parameters to improve SEO positions for target keywords
  • Hold accountability for organic revenue goals & targets
  • Lead all SEO initiatives for assets like Website, Blogs & Mobile Apps
  • Own initiatives aimed at improving assessing SEO issues at scale & creating frameworks to address them
  • Make a strategy to increase brand visibility and domain authority through off page optimisation projects, for instance, guest posts, PR articles, quora posts, partner case studies etc.
  • Develop strategy and execute content marketing campaigns to drive traffic, backlinks, engagement, sales, customer retention
  • Collect & analyse data and publish organic performance report on traffic, rankings and other SEO aspects along with key insights
  • Work with social media and PPC teams to optimize campaigns
  • Experience with running A/B split tests, calculating significance, tracking results, summarizing findings, and iterating into new ideas
Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

Proficient in the use of SEO tools such as SEMRush, Moz, Screaming Frog, and Google Search ConsoleStrong understanding of current SEO best practices, search engine algorithms, and ranking factorsGood analytical skills to interpret data and provide actionable insightsExcellent communication skills for collaborating effectively with content creators and web developers

  • Educational and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education requirements
  • Bachelors in marketing, advertising, communications, business, or a related field
ExperienceMinimumDesired
  • 7+ years' experience in a Digital Marketing role
  • Experience working on landing pages, blogs, SEO/SEA, email campaigns, social media, and display marketing
  • Prior experience in a similar role as well as experience building effective multi-channel marketing strategies, including affiliate marketing, PPC, SEO, social media, and other digital channels
  • Proven SEM experience and success managing PPC campaigns across Google, Yahoo and Bing
