Job Description


The Role Responsibilities

  • To process day-to-day BAU functions within the department for all product classes.
  • To maintain good business relationship with Front Office.
  • To ensure processes are in compliance to the group standard.
  • To ensure fast turnaround time in responding to queries raised by parties within or outside the bank.
  • To guide junior analysts in the day-to-day BAU functions within the Dept. for all Product classes.
  • To assist in covering the Assistant Manager in candidate's absence.
  • End-to-end settlement processing for Derivatives products. Product classes include FX.
  • Credit, Rates, Equity, Commodity and Structured Transactions.
  • Daily tasks include printing and checking of reports, confirming settlements with counterparties, checking and releasing of payments.
  • Construction of manual payments may be required in some instances.
  • Investigation on GL Suspense and Nostro accounts imbalances.
  • Taking the lead in resolving settlement related issues.
  • Constant review of DOI to ensure updating of process procedures.
  • Report and record any settlement issues.
  • Ensure audit and risk control measures for BAU procedures and processes are adhered to.
  • Report any suspicious trades in accordance to the Anti-Money Laundering Policy.
  • Timely reporting of MIS.

  • Middle Offices.
  • Traders and sales personnel from the respective business.
  • In-country CRG teams.
  • In-country Wealth Management / Credit Ops / CMS teams.
  • Control teams - SSCKL and SSC Chennai.
  • Related depts eg, Product Control, finance, etc.
  • External counterparties - Banks and FIs.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 6 - 9 years of Banking experience.
  • Education qualification - Graduate, Postgraduate and or any equivalent certification.
  • Relevant experience within the financial markets preferably in OTC derivatives and FX and MM.
Role Specific technical Competencies
  • Experience in handling Derivatives Settlement
  • Experience in handling Derivatives Confirmation
