As an Associate Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in our Marketing Research and Intelligence, applying your analytical prowess to unearth audience insights from various data streams - this will cover 1st & 3rd party and campaign measurement data.

What you'll do

• Analyze diverse data sources, including 1st party analytics and 3rd party research tools, to craft compelling vertical, country, and audience narratives that elevate Spotify's Advertising business.
• Apply SQL to extract insights and identify listening trends on Spotify, transforming these findings into engaging external narratives that drive audience engagement.
• Combine custom research and first-party data to pioneer new audience targeting segments across the JAPAC region.
• Serve as the regional expert and primary point of contact for key 3rd party data providers, orchestrating projects to optimize adoption and efficacy.
• Hold responsibility for custom research and measurement initiatives from conceptualization, methodology, project management, analysis and external presentation.
• Collaborate closely with Data Analytics and B2B marketing teams to construct captivating, multi-source research narratives that educate our sales teams, marketers, and clients.
• Partner with leadership team members to support Sales and Marketing initiatives, offering strategic guidance and direction across multiple verticals in the JAPAC region.
• Cultivate XFN partner relationships, handle high-priority projects, and collaborate closely with the JAPAC region lead.
• Deliver compelling presentations at various client and agency research engagements, showcasing a strong point of view on data validity and ensuring methodological consistency.
• Develop regional 1st and 3rd party research roadmaps aligned with key vertical, agency, and advertising growth objectives.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as business, statistics, math, economics, or related fields.
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in advertising sales research, preferably in roles at research agencies, media owners, advertisers, or media agencies.
• Outstanding communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Proven track record of collaborating effectively with sales leadership partners in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in data analysis and storytelling, with the ability to delve into the "why" behind research results.
• Experience presenting research findings at client, agency, and industry forums.
• Highly experienced with SQL and Big Query for exploring large datasets and experience with custom survey programming and data analysis software preferred.
• Proficiency with syndicated tools such as comScore, Nielsen, Kantar, and similar platforms and Comfortable adapting to new skills, research methodologies, and technologies.
• A great teammate with a positive attitude, committed to fostering strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Previous experience in the JAPAC region research is advantageous.
• Strong solid understanding of 3rd party audience insight/measurement providers, with a proven track record of adoption and analysis.
