About the Position

As the Associate Manager - Agroforestry and Watershed, you will play a crucial role in advancing BharatCares' mission to promote sustainable land management practices through agroforestry and watershed development. Working closely with farmers, communities, and stakeholders, you will provide technical expertise, project management support, and capacity building to drive positive change in Telangana's agricultural landscape.

Responsibilities

• On-ground Execution: Lead execution in the design, development, and end to end implementation of agroforestry and watershed management projects.
• Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance to farmers and communities on agroforestry practices, including tree selection, planting techniques, and integration with crops.
• Watershed Management: Contribute to watershed development projects by conducting surveys, preparing technical and financial plans, and implementing soil and water conservation measures.
• Project Management: Be extensively involved in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of agroforestry and watershed development projects to ensure successful outcomes.
• Capacity Building: Conduct training workshops and demonstrations for farmers and communities on agroforestry and watershed management practices to enhance their knowledge and skills.
• Monitoring and Evaluation: Collect data, monitor project progress, and prepare reports to assess the impact of our initiatives and inform future interventions.
• Collaboration: Work effectively with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to promote agroforestry and watershed management initiatives and foster collaboration for greater impact.

Mandatory Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in designing, managing, and implementing agricultural development programs, with a strong focus on sustainable or regenerative agriculture and watershed management.
• Deep understanding of regenerative agriculture principles and practices, with proven experience applying them in the Indian context.
• Demonstrated expertise in research, data analysis, and program evaluation, with a track record of producing high-quality reports and recommendations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor team members towards achieving shared goals.
• Fluency in English and Telugu required; proficiency in local languages of target regions preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?550,000.00 - ?780,000.00 per year
