The team partners with Workday on Workday (WoW) and Product teams to enhance, test, and uptake Workday functionality.About the RoleWorkday is seeking an Associate Accounting Manager (AP & Expense) who can lead and develop a team of analysts and who wants to make their mark on a growing organization!You\'re a strong communicator with strong ability to manage multiple teams\' tasks and target timelines, assist with issue resolution, have strong leadership skills, drive departmental process improvements, and display a high level of organizational skills. You\'ll be responsible for delivering efficiencies, creating new value, and managing proper SOX controls & escalation protocols while driving positive employee experience throughout the organization.Job responsibilities:Lead a team of 4 - 6 Accounts Payable and Expense AnalystsOversee successful completion of team month end tasks and responsibilitiesResponsible for review and approval of system transactionsProvide accounting and control environment (SOX) guidance to team and projectsFirst escalation point for unresolved AP mattersComplete regular performance management activities with employees including the completion of career and development plans, goal setting, and performance reviewsResponsible for ensuring that staff are adequately trained in system functionality and departmental proceduresLead projects that drive departmental initiatives, scale processes and implement system functionalityDrive process improvement, build efficiencies, and innovateWork to form positive relationships with internal business partners and external vendorsActive participant in delivering on accounting and organization goalsAbout YouYou enjoy being in a leadership role and mentoring people. Most importantly, your work style will chip into a positive work culture and align with Workday core values.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Accounting/Finance or relevant field4+ years finance operations/accounting experience2 - 3 years\' of leadership experienceOther Qualifications:Strong interpersonal and leadership skillsExcellent and professional written and verbal communication skillsExperience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-pace, collaborative environmentDemonstrates initiative, flexibility and follow-throughAttention to detail, accuracy, and strong analytical problem-solving skillsProven experience in leading employees in identifying and implementing process improvementsDemonstrated ability to interface with all levels of managementShown accounting and controls experienceAbility to manage multiple projects concurrentlyCustomer service focused and solution orientedStrong digital literacy including Microsoft Office toolsSoftware and/or SaaS industry experience highly preferredFamiliar with conducting business as part of an international company is helpfulOur Approach to Flexible WorkWith Flex Work, we\xe2\x80\x99re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote.
