Southern Cross University's Faculty of Health is welcoming applications from suitable qualified candidates for the position, Associate Lecturer or Lecturer in Occupational Therapy.

As an Associate Lecturer or Lecturer, you will play a vital role in the delivery of the Occupational Therapy program. You will bring enthusiasm to enhance health education for future occupational therapists and play a crucial role in ensuring that students are well-prepared academically and practically for their work integrated learning. This position will specifically focus on promoting academic success through effective work integrated learning opportunities. Your core responsibilities will include:
• Providing high quality teaching and learning experiences.
• Supervising, mentoring and guiding students during their placements, as well as supporting their placement supervisors.
• Coordinating with internal and external partners to position students for success in work integrated learning.
• Establishing and nurturing strong industry partnerships to secure valuable placement opportunities for students.
### About you
The successful candidate will possess relevant academic and/or professional experience and unrestricted registration, or eligible to obtain registration, as an Occupational Therapist with Ahpra. In addition, the appointee should possess:
• Experience in the use of contemporary educational technologies and teaching both practical and theoretical topics in Occupational Therapy in blended and online environments across a range of practice settings and populations.
• An emerging track record in scholarship and/or research as evidenced by relevant peer- reviewed publications and publications/research plan, or other comparable scholarly achievements.
• Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills, including the ability to work within an interdisciplinary team, to collaborate with research partners, and to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
For those applying at level B, you will ideally showcase proficiency in designing, implementing, and evaluating curriculum and resources to improve student learning effectiveness
### Salary and benefits

This is a part-time (70%), fixed term (up to 12 Months) position based at our Gold Coast campus.
The base salary for Academic Level A ranges from $52,191 - $70,149 per annum, plus 17% employer's contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $82,074.
The base salary for Academic Level B ranges from $73,740 - $87,209 per annum, plus 17% employer's contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $102,034.
