EY Global Delivery Services Team - Associate - Finance (Direct Tax)


As part of the GDS India Finance Tax Team, you would serve a critical role as part of the Direct tax. You will gain hands on experience in the role you will be assigned to. This person will work closely with other members of the Finance and accounting teams.

The opportunity


We're looking for an Associate with 1-2 Year of experience in Finance & Accounting function . This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of GDS business.

Your key responsibilities

• Support for tax assessments related matters.
• Support in WHT matters - Tax opinion, TDS calculations, remittance, returns.
• Undertaking research on case laws/articles/circulars etc.
• Support in the vendor, member firm invoice process and vendor onboarding.
• Preparing reconciliation statements.
• Automation initiatives and process documentation.
• Support in preparing and analyzing the data relating to cross border travel of employees.
• Keep an eye on the latest developments and preparing summary of the same.
• Part of Finance process improvement projects - Ability to be a good team player and be part of various process improvement projects.
• Coordinating / interacting with key stakeholders and work as an important point of contact for them.

Skills and attributes for success

• Strong fundamentals in Finance & Accounting
• Experience in Accounting ERP & MIS Systems is desired.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities and desire to learn.
• Strong attention to details and sense of ownership
• Positive attitude and dependable team player
• Strong written, verbal and persuasive skills

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance
• 1-2 Years experience in Finance
• Must have strong Knowledge in Indian Accounting, Finance, MIS etc.
• Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills
• Well versed in MS Excel, Word, power point, power BI
