Description
An Associate is responsible for the processing of transactions, events or data processing within a functional team. An Associate will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) interacting and guiding the team in delivering what is expected by the client and within the defined guidelines.

Job Responsibilities
1. Responsible for guiding the team in executing the day-to-day tasks within the defined guidelines.
2. Interacting with the analysts to ensure the process and procedure is followed.
3. Providing training to the new joiners to ensure they are on the job asap.
4. Interacting and educating various business stakeholders as and when required on the process and procedure followed by the team.
5. Responsible for ensuring timely, complete and accurate processing of transactions (including performing all relevant controls) within own area of responsibility
6. Applies all internal and external policies/guidelines and requirements of the regulators and to agreed SLAs, KRIs and/or KPIs and quality measures
7. Where appropriate, builds and maintains relationships with front office clients to provide a point of contact within the GBS functional team for time critical, complex or regulated tasks in particular
8. Provides input, as appropriate, to product / function development to ensure a superior offering in the face of changing client needs and market trends
9. Ensures the escalation of operational, regulatory and other risks to line manager and functional leads as appropriate; contributes to the development and implementation of mitigation or control solutions
10. Works effectively within own team, providing support and guidance to colleagues to create and foster an environment of continuous improvement

Key Skills
1. Relevant experience in one or more specific technical areas, reconciliations experience will be an added advantage.
2. Product and system knowledge in the product line
3. Basic analytical skills, flexible regarding production problem solving
4. Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and local language (written/verbal) as appropriate
5. Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrix organizations
6. Excellent team worker, able to work in virtual global teams and a matrix organization
7. Ability to work in fast paced environment, keep pace with technical innovation and maintain a broad understanding of the GBS offering
8. Open minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members

Desirable Skills
Reconciliation, TLM, Trade Lifecycle, Domain Knowledge - Investment Bank

Qualifications
Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent)

Experience
8-10 years
