Job Description

ORF intends to recruit Economist/s at the level of Associate Fellow/ Fellow. The candidate

should be a self-motivated research professional who can work independently and lead

research projects, but can also work in teams. The position will work under the guidance of

the Programme Head and will help the programme team fulfil their needs for economic

analyses, thereby contributing to the objectives of the Centre for New Economic Diplomacy

and the SDG and Inclusive Growth programme of the Foundation.



Roles and Responsibilities


• Contribute to various research, publications, and convening endeavours of ORF.
• Undertake research and produce high-quality peer-reviewed publications in the forms

of Occasional Papers/ Monographs/ Issue Briefs.
• Work in coordination with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Conduct necessary data analyses based on quantitative techniques.
• Regularly write op-eds and expert speaks, and prepare policy briefs to communicate

research findings for opinion-makers, policymakers, and various stakeholders.
• Involved in designing high-quality convenings.
• Any other job as deemed appropriate by the Programme Head/Management.

Qualifications and Skill-sets


• Post Graduate in Economics with specialization in any domain of Economics.
• Sound knowledge of quantitative techniques/ econometrics.
• Ability to work in multiple projects simultaneously and capacity for multi-tasking.
• PhD will be given preference, all other things remaining the same.
