Youxe2x80x99ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.A Day in the Life The Engineering R & D function at Medtronic Engineering & Innovation Centre at Hyderabad, India encompasses design, development and Verification xe2x80x93 testing activities during NPD and Sustaining phases of product development support/ during turnkey NPD Projects for the OUs. The function is accountable for both design and design transfer support for a product under development. It entails, but is not limited to, activities commonly carried out during the product development lifecycle including Upstream R&D, Concept, Feasibility, Development, Qualification and Post-Market support.
The role of Associate Engineering Director at MEIC will focus on Acute Care and Monitoring Operating Unit (ACM OU) Software R&D efforts at Hyderabad. ACM OU is committed to excellence in innovation and commercialization to pursue our vision and long-term business growth. The ACM OU R&D organization is refining its product delivery, innovation, and commercialization approach to enable product leadership across all segments of our product portfolio. This will require enhancing our innovation processes, refining our design and delivery approaches to deliver an integrated and comprehensive portfolio that enables product development excellence across ACM.

They will be accountable for the overall provision of services, policies, and programs in product engineering to ensure superior performance and delivery to the Operating Unit (OU). The individual would also extend support for design and development of tailored products for the regional/ local market in line with company policies & procedures.You would also be responsible for directing efforts in sustaining & enhancing domain verticals in Software development and verification, Test Engineering and other related engineering functions. The individual shall be able to guide and direct managers and COT leaders with diverse skill sets and technologists.
You would be accountable for the management of the projects within span of engagement at MEIC, aligning cross functional resources on strategic project goals and timelines, reporting progress and project costs, developing relationships with other OU development teams who can provide strategic partnership in the development process, preparing and monitoring annual budgets, championing teams and creating a culture of success.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assignedSoftware Engineering Management critical experiencePeople Management critical experienceSoftware development and comfortable with SW development practices and modelsProduct development experienceStrategic customer engagement experienceRequired Knowledge and Experience
Minimum of 18+ years of applicable work experience in a SW product development & Global team environment;Minimum of 8 years of hands-on software development critical experience in implementing large to medium complex software architectures5+ years experience in technical leadership or hands-on experience on Enterpise Software applications. E.g.
