Role Description

Market Data Technology is responsible for the global infrastructure to deliver real time and historic market data to hundreds of applications and thousands of users bank wide.

This covers over 100 applications including RMDS (Reuters Market Data System - Real Time market data delivery more recently known as TREP (Thomson Reuters Enterprise Platform) and RRTMDS (Refintiv RealTIme Market Data System)) and Mercury (Historic market data delivery)

You will be part of a new multi-functional team that will focus on development of tool / portal for market data content discovery. Specifically, you will be working within a newly formed \xe2\x80\x98Content Technology\xe2\x80\x99 Team who are responsible for improving the \xe2\x80\x98discovery\xe2\x80\x99 of Market Data to consumers within the bank, be it historical/real-time/snap/EOD data that the bank consumes via a myriad of vendors and distribution platforms. Your broad technical expertise will help in developing the data cataloguing process and the \xe2\x80\x98Discovery Portal\xe2\x80\x99 (UI) and will have the opportunity for involvement from back-end processes right through to UI development.

Your key responsibilities

• Development of the overall Market Data \xe2\x80\x98Discovery\xe2\x80\x99 solution, connection to back-end processes through to UI Development and interaction with other systems
• Work in an Agile manner to track/log/prioritize feedback as it is received from our stakeholders
• Develop a deep understanding as to how Market Data is consumed within DB, along with the commercial restrictions that apply
• Automation opportunities to streamline content search/discovery

Your skills and experience

• UI Web Development (Java/Javascript/NodeJs/React/python)
• UI portal design / development skills
• Knowledge of API\xe2\x80\x99s helpful
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal with experience of communicating technical issues to senior staff.
• The ability to work with stakeholders from many business areas, backgrounds and nationalities to realize project milestones and deliverables.
